ABC Has Summer's Top 2 Series Debuts in Total Viewers With 'Generation Gap' and 'Final Straw'

"Celebrity Family Feud" (8:00-9:00 p.m. - 5.6 million Total Viewers and 0.8/8 in AD18-49):

The eighth season premiere of ABC's "Celebrity Family Feud" soared over its September season finale (on 9/19/21) by 19% in Total Viewers (5.6 million vs. 4.7 million) and outdrew its final nine telecasts of the prior season. "Celebrity Family Feud" also shot up over its season finale by 33% among Adults 18-49 (0.8/8 vs. 0.6/4) to outdeliver the final seven telecasts of its prior season. The ABC unscripted series delivered its strongest telecast since June 2021 in Total Viewers and since July 2021 in Adults 18-49 - since 6/20/21 and 7/18/21, respectively.

"Celebrity Family Feud" improved over its prior season average by 8% in Total Viewers (5.6 million vs. 5.2 million) and by 14% with Adults 18-49 (0.8/8 vs. 0.7/5).

ABC's "Celebrity Family Feud" season premiere outdrew the season opener of CBS' "Big Brother-Sunday" by 19% in Total Viewers (5.6 million vs. 4.7 million).

After seven days of viewing across linear and digital platforms, the eighth season premiere of "Celebrity Family Feud" grew to 6.1 million Total Viewers and hit a 1.0 rating in Adults 18-49.

"Final Straw" (9:00-10:00 p.m. - 3.3 million Total Viewers and 0.5/5 in AD18-49):

ABC's "Final Straw" opened as the No. 2 series debut so far this summer in Total Viewers (3.3 million). In fact, ABC claimed the Top 2 most-watched debuts this summer with "Generation Gap" (4.5 million) and "Final Straw" (3.3 million), respectively.

After seven days of viewing across all platforms, the series debut of "Final Straw" averaged 3.4 million Total Viewers and a 0.6 rating among Adults 18-49.
