Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: "American Idol" Puts ABC on Top in Demos

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/4/21):

ABC (4.595 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #1) was back on top in demos on Sunday with its trio of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.087 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3), "American Idol" (5.313 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #1) and "The Rookie" (3.667 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3).

A close second was CBS (6.000 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #2) with originals from "60 Minutes" (7.276 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3), "The Equalizer" (6.714 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (5.465 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (4.546 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #7).

Next up was NBC (1.242 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.2, #3) with a repeat "Ellen's Game of Games" (1.307 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T8) followed by new episodes of "Ellen's Game of Games" (1.647 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T8) and "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" (1.170 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T8) plus a second run "Good Girls" (0.843 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (0.774 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T4) offered up its annual telecast of "Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade" (0.557 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T13) alongside a new "Bless the Harts" (0.445 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T13) and the two-hour special "Malika the Lion Queen" (0.911 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T8).
