Friday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Low Key Friday in Demos

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (6/14/19):

NBC (2.952 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #1) was the adults 18-49 champ on Friday with an encore of "American Ninja Warrior" (2.678 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T1) and a new "Dateline NBC" (3.499 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T1).

ABC (3.177 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #2) then was a close second with originals from "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (2.220 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T4) and "20/20" (3.656 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T1).

Next up was FOX (2.291 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #3) with its primetime coverage of the "U.S. Open Championship: Second Round" (2.291 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T4).

Meanwhile, CBS (3.561 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.3, #4) offered up a new "Whistleblower" (3.345 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T6) alongside repeats of "Hawaii Five-0" (3.246 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T6) and "Blue Bloods" (4.093 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T6).

And finally, The CW (1.009 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night with "Masters of Illusion" (1.108 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T9), a repeat "Masters of Illusion" (1.132 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T9), "The Big Stage" (0.971 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T9) and a repeat "The Big Stage" (0.826 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.1, #12).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (6/15/18):

CBS (4.496 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T1) was the top draw on Friday with a new "Undercover Boss" (4.158 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) alongside repeats of "Hawaii Five-0" (4.259 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) and "Blue Bloods" (5.071 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4).

Sharing the demo crown was NBC (2.999 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T1) with an encore "American Ninja Warrior" (2.812 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) and a new "Dateline NBC" (3.374 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2).

Next up was ABC (3.086 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #3) with its trio of "Quantico" (2.858 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #8), "What Would You Do?" (2.879 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) and "20/20" (3.520 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T2).

Meanwhile, The CW (1.258 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T4) served up repeats of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.385 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9), another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.405 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) plus the finale to "Life Sentence" (1.121 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9).

And finally, encores of "The Four: Battle for Stardom" (1.142 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and another "The Four: Battle for Stardom" (1.318 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) on FOX (1.230 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T4) rounded out the evening.
