Friday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX, "Last Man Standing" Win Tight Demo Race

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/1/19):

FOX (4.197 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1) scored the top spot among adults 18-49 on Friday with originals from "Last Man Standing" (5.995 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1), "The Cool Kids" (4.693 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) and "Hell's Kitchen" (3.050 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3).

CBS (7.981 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then was a close second with its trio of "MacGyver" (6.994 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3), "Hawaii Five-0" (7.816 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3) and "Blue Bloods" (9.134 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3).

Next up was ABC (3.757 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its mix of "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.290 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7), "Speechless" (2.388 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9) and a two-hour "20/20" (4.216 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7).

Meanwhile, NBC (2.942 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up fresh installments from "Blindspot" (2.862 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9), "The Blacklist" (3.647 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9) and "Dateline NBC" (2.318 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9).

And finally, The CW (0.522 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) closed out the evening with new episodes of "Dynasty" (0.635 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13) and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (0.409 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.1, #14).

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.1/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (2/2/18):

CBS (8.308 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T1) was the most-watched network on Friday with its dramas "MacGyver" (7.208 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2), "Hawaii Five-0" (8.501 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) and "Blue Bloods" (9.216 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2).

FOX (3.322 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T1) however shared in the demo crown with the penultimate "Hell's Kitchen" (3.235 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) and the season finale of "Hell's Kitchen" (3.410 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2).

Next up was NBC (3.256 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) with new episodes from "Blindspot" (3.290 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9), "Taken" (2.518 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11) and "Dateline NBC" (3.960 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6).
