Friday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX Tops Demos with College Football

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/23/18):

FOX (3.165 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) took home the demo crown on Friday with a special edition of "CFB on FOX" (3.165 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2).

CBS (3.344 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) then was the most-watched broadcaster with its repeat lineup of "Frosty the Snowman" (3.544 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2), "Frosty Returns" (2.799 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5), "Magnum P.I." (3.176 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10) and "Hawaii Five-0" (3.684 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

Next up was NBC (2.915 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) and its encore mix of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (4.325 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1), "DreamWorks Trolls Holiday" (3.004 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T2), "The Wall" (1.967 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10) and "Dateline NBC" (3.112 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.498 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) served up a repeat "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town" (2.664 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) followed by originals from "Child Support" (2.054 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10) and "20/20" (2.778 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

And finally, The CW (1.106 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening with repeats of "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (1.169 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14) and "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" (1.043 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.1/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.1/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/24/17):

NBC (4.677 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) was the top draw on Friday with its festive mix of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (5.683 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2), "DreamWorks Trolls Holiday" (5.190 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) and a repeat "Dateline NBC" (4.297 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3).

FOX (3.589 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) then was a close second with a special edition of "CFB on FOX" (3.589 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3).

Next up was ABC (3.220 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its annual repeat of "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" (3.357 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5), "20/20" (2.977 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and a second hour of "20/20" (3.328 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7).

Meanwhile, CBS (3.339 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) opted for its trio of "Frosty the Snowman" (3.954 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5), "Frosty Returns" (2.983 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and "Grammy's Greatest Stories: A 60th Anniversary Special" (3.275 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #10).

And finally, the conclusion to "iHeartRadio Music Festival Night 2" (0.860 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #11) on The CW (0.860 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) rounded out the night.
