Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: World Series Opens on Top for FOX

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/25/16):

FOX (18.721 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.4, #1) rocketed to the top spot on Tuesday with its coverage of the "World Series, Game 1" (18.721 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.4, #1).

NBC (8.338 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2) then had to settle for second place with its trio of "The Voice" (9.395 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.1, #3), "This Is Us" (8.679 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.4, #2) and "Chicago Fire" (6.941 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.6, #5).

Next up was CBS (11.694 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) and originals from "NCIS" (13.859 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #4), "Bull" (11.592 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T6) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (9.630 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #9).

Meanwhile, ABC (3.766 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) offered up fresh installments of "The Middle" (5.585 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T6), "American Housewife" (5.028 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T6), "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.841 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #10), "The Real O'Neals" (3.201 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T11) and "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (2.470 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #13).

And finally, new episodes of "The Flash" (2.780 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T11) and "No Tomorrow" (0.853 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14) on The CW (1.816 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5) wrapped the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.3/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

FOX (15.261 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.6, #1) got a big boost on Tuesday with the start of "World Series, Game 1" (15.261 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.6, #1).

NBC (7.341 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2) then had to settle for a distant second place with its mix of "Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris" (4.254 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #11), "The Voice" (9.946 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.5, #2) and "Chicago Fire" (7.824 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #4).

Next up was CBS (12.310 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3) and its trio of "NCIS" (16.433 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #3), "NCIS: New Orleans" (12.946 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #5) and "Limitless" (7.550 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6).

Meanwhile, ABC (3.768 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4) offered up originals from "The Muppets" (4.291 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6), "Fresh Off the Boat" (4.045 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6) and "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (3.833 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6) plus the debut of "Wicked City" (3.301 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.9, #12).
