TV ONE POSTS BEST SECOND QUARTER IN NETWORK HISTORY DELIVERING +51% AND +47% INCREASES IN KEY DEMOS IN PRIMETIME
SILVER SPRING, MD - JULY 7, 2015 - TV One's viewership continues to rise in the just completed second quarter ratings period. TV One posted a +51% increase in W25-54 and +47% increase among W18-49 versus second quarter of last year. This is also the best second quarter of the network's history in Prime among P25-54, W25-54 and HHLDS. In addition, TV One reached 36 million viewers in total day.
TV One also posted tremendous gains in Primetime among P25-54, P18-49 and HHLDS vs. 2Q14:
o P25-54: +41%
o P18-49: +39%
o HHLDS: +33%
The network continues to be a Top 10 ranked advertising supported cable Growth network in Primetime among P25-54 for the second consecutive quarter.
Also contributing to the ratings success was the network's Friday, June 26 premiere of The Gospel Tradition: In Performance at the White House, which garnered the No. 1 2Q15 TV One Friday prime telecast among all key demos - P25-54, W25-54, P18-49, HHLD and Total Viewers P2+. The premiere & encores of The Gospel Tradition: In Performance at the White House reached 2 Million Viewers 2+. In addition, the Saturday, June 27 premiere of Will to Love was also the No. 2 Original Movie Telecast on Cable at 8 p.m. among Black HHLDS, P25-54, W25-54, P18-49, W18-49 and Total Viewers P2+.
