Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: "Big Brother" Continues Win Streak for CBS

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/24/14):

CBS (5.440 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) took home the top spot on Thursday with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (7.072 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2), "The Millers" (5.368 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4), "Big Brother 16" (6.401 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) and "Elementary" (3.698 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10).

FOX (3.784 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then snagged the silver with the season finale of "Hell's Kitchen" (5.010 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3) followed by a new "Gang Related" (2.557 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8).

Next up was NBC (3.335 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with its lineup of "Hollywood Game Night" (4.043 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5), "Welcome to Sweden" (2.940 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8), "Meet the Engels" (2.235 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #13) and "Last Comic Standing" (3.375 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5).

Meanwhile, ABC (4.151 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) served up a new "Black Box" (3.768 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10) alongside the season finale of "Black Box" (3.786 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10) and a new "NY Med" (4.898 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #7).

And finally, repeats of "The Vampire Diaries" (0.499 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T14) and "The Originals" (0.521 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.1, #T14) on The CW (0.510 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.1, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Diaries" delivered a 0.1 rating at 8:00/7:00c and "Originals" a 0.1 rating at 9:00/8:00c.

FOX (5.428 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) won the demo race on Thurdsay with part one of the "Hell's Kitchen" (5.200 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.0, #3) season finale followed by part two of "Hell's Kitchen" (5.656 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2).

CBS (6.283 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then took home the silver with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (7.944 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #4), "Two and a Half Men" (6.732 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #5), "Big Brother 15" (6.826 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1) and "Elementary" (4.685 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T8).

Next up was ABC (4.686 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) and its all-original lineup of "Wipeout" (3.818 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T8), "Motive" (4.655 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11) and "Rookie Blue" (5.584 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #7).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.521 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) offered up a repeat of "The Winner Is" (2.929 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #12) plus new episodes of "The Winner Is" (3.782 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10) and "Hollywood Game Night" (3.852 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #6).

·In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.

·From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

·From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.3/4 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

·At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
