Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: "Big Bang Theory" Pulls CBS Back in Front

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/7/13):

CBS (10.167 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) was back in front on Thursday thanks to new episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" (16.588 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.8, #1), "The Millers" (10.680 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.7, #T2), "The Crazy Ones" (8.074 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.1, #6), "Two and a Half Men" (8.144 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.0, #7) and "Elementary" (8.757 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T8).

ABC (6.891 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2) then got bumped back to second place with its combination of "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" (3.536 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #15), "Grey's Anatomy" (8.553 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.7, #T2) and "Scandal" (8.757 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.7, #T2).

Next up was NBC (6.559 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3) with a special "The Voice" (10.233 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.7, #T2) alongside new episodes of "Sean Saves the World" (5.583 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T8), "The Michael J. Fox Show" (4.243 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.3, #12) and "Parenthood" (4.530 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T10).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.817 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) served up a new "The X Factor" (3.636 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T13) and the return of "Glee" (3.998 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T10).

And finally, originals from "The Vampire Diaries" (2.573 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T13) and "Reign" (1.696 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.6, #16) on The CW (2.134 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Diaries" delivered a 2.0 rating at 8:00/7:00c and "Reign" a 1.0 rating at 9:00/8:00c.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.0/5.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/5 in metered-market households and a 0.6/4 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/4 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (13.59 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.2, #1) was the network to beat on Thursday with its lineup of "The Big Bang Theory" (16.54 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.0, #1), "Two and a Half Men" (14.09 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 4.0, #2), "Person of Interest" (14.73 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.9, #5) and "Elementary" (10.73 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.2, #9).

FOX (6.01 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.4, #2) then claimed the silver with a new "The X Factor" (6.28 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.3, #8) followed by the return of "Glee" (5.73 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 2.4, #7).

Next up was ABC (7.09 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #3) with originals of "Last Resort" (5.96 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T12), "Grey's Anatomy" (9.20 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 3.2, #3) and "Scandal" (6.12 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.0, #10).

Meanwhile, a special one-hour "The Voice" (9.09 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 3.0, #4) couldn't lift NBC (6.01 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.1, #4) out of the number four spot. Following said telecast were new episodes of "The Office" (5.31 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 2.5, #6), "Parks & Recreation" (3.84 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.8, #11) and "Rock Center With Brian Williams" (4.37 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.1, #14).

And finally, new episodes of "The Vampire Diaries" (2.98 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T12) and "Beauty and the Beast" (1.85 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.7, #15) on The CW (2.42 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #5) closed out the night.
