'TONIGHT' GROWS 5 PERCENT WEEK TO WEEK IN 18-49 VIEWERS TO MATCH A FOUR-WEEK HIGH

SEASON TO DATE, JAY AND JIMMY INCREASE THEIR TOTAL-VIEWER MARGINS VS. LAST YEAR

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - November 17, 2011 - NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" has averaged a 0.9 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers overall for the week of November 7-11. In total viewers, "Tonight" out-delivered CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" and ABC's combination of "Nightline" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" for the week.

Versus the prior week, "Tonight" is up 5 percent in viewers 18-49 (1.091 million vs. 1.041 million), to match a four-week high, and up 1 percent in total viewers (3.614 million vs. 3.579 million).

At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" delivered a bigger audience than CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in total viewers, as well as viewers 18-49 and other key demographics. "Late Night" averaged a 0.5/3 in 18-49 and 1.7 million viewers overall.

Through the first eight weeks of the season, "Tonight" has increased its total-viewer margin over "Late Show" to 10 percent (3.643 million vs. 3.316 million), up from the year-ago season-to-date advantage of 2 percent. Jimmy Fallon has established a total-viewer lead over "Late Late Show" this season of 13 percent (1.750 million vs. 1.553 million), after trailing by 5 percent at the point one year ago. In viewers 18-49, Jimmy's lead over "Late Late Show" this season is 12 percent (726,000 vs. 649,000), matching "Late Night's" 12 percent margin at this point last season.
