NICKELODEON'S THE BOY WHO CRIED WEREWOLF STARRING VICTORIA JUSTICE AND BROOKE SHIELDS SCORES BASIC CABLE'S TOP SPOT ON SATURDAY NIGHT WITH ALMOST 6 MILLION VIEWERS

TV Movie Ranks as Top Telecast for the Week with all Kid and Tween Demos

NEW YORK - Oct. 26, 2010 - Nickelodeon notched another ratings win with the premiere of The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, 8 p.m. ET/PT), a teen comedy with a sci-fi twist, starring Victoria Justice (Victorious) in her first-ever headlining TV movie role and Brooke Shields (Lipstick Jungle) as a stern Romanian housekeeper. The two-hour Halloween-themed movie ranked as basic cable's top telecast for the night, drawing 5.8 million total viewers, and topped broadcast and basic cable with kids and tweens for the week, posting high triple-digit gains with all key demos, and averaging a 10.5/2.3 million K6-11 (+163%), 9.3/2.0 million T9-14 (+182%) and 8.2/2.9 million K2-11 (+165%).

Nickelodeon closed the week (10/18/10-10/24/10) as the number-one total day cable net with K2-11 (3.4/1.2 million, +6%) and total viewers (2.3 million, +13%), fueled by solid performances by The Boy Who Cried Werewolf and hit animated series SpongeBob SquarePants and The Penguins of Madagascar, which rank as the top two animated series with kids 2-11 for the week.

The Boy Who cried Werewolf follows Jordan Sands (Justice), a shy and unpopular teen who, through an accident, is transformed into a werewolf during a visit to Wolfsberg, Romania where her family has inherited an ancient castle. Jordan's dark, hairy side is dangerous to others, and the change confuses her new suitor, Goran (Steven Grayhm), the town's young, attractive butcher. In order to salvage her crush and return back to her normal self, Jordan must rely on her stern Romanian housekeeper Madame Varcolac (Shields) - the longtime proprietor of the castle who is the only one privy to all of its peculiarities - and her pesky little brother (Chase Ellison, Tooth Fairy) to save her before it's too late.

The Boy Who Cried Werewolf will encore as part of Nick's week-long Halloween-themed programming (all times ET/PT) on Friday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 31, at 5 p.m. on Nickelodeon.
