The CW Delivers Its Best Thursday in 2 � Years With Adults 18-34

November 3, 2009 (Burbank, CA) � The CW saw five series (ONE TREE HILL, TOP MODEL, VAMPIRE DIARIES, SUPERNATURAL and SMALLVILLE) reach or match season highs in key demos for the week ending 11/01/09.

The CW continues to deliver year-to-year gains for the season, including 11% in women 18-34 (2.0/6), 7% in adults 18-34 (1.5/4), 7% in women 18-49 (1.6/4) and 9% in adults 18-49 (1.2/3), based on "most current" data (combining Live+SD and Live+7 for this season and last when available).

MONDAY � 10/26/09

ONE TREE HILL reached season highs among women 18-34 (2.6/7), adults 18-34 (1.7/5), adults 18-49 (1.3/3), women 18-49 (1.8/5) and total viewers (2.7mil).

GOSSIP GIRL improved over the previous week by 16% in women 18-34 (2.9/7), 20% in adults 18-34 (1.8/5), 9% in adults 18-49 (1.2/3), 19% in women 18-49 (1.9/4), and 16% in total viewers (2.2mil) versus a week ago. GOSSIP GIRL delivered its best women 18-34, women 18-49 and adults 18-34 ratings in a month (best since 9/28/09).

The CW matched its best Monday of the season in adults 18-34 (1.8/5), adults 18-49 (1.3/3) and women 18-49 (1.9/5).

WEDNESDAY � 10/28/09

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL delivered its most watched (3.5mil) and highest rated episode of the season among adults 18-34 (1.8/6-tie), adults 18-49 (1.6/4), women 18-49 (2.4/7-tie) and female teens (2.0/7).

THURSDAY � 10/29/09

The CW's freshman smash THE VAMPIRE DIARIES shattered its previous record, delivering the show's best women 18-34 (3.2/9) and adults 18-34 (2.4/7) performance EVER.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES also set a new all-time high for The CW in the time period with women 18-34 and registered the network's best adults 18-34 ratings in the time period in almost 3 years (since January 2007).

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES scored its second best ratings of the season in adults 18-49 (2.0/5), women 18-49 (2.7/7) and total viewers (4.2mil), behind only its series debut.

VAMPIRE DIARIES again ranked as Thursday's #1 show among female teens (2.9/10).

VAMPIRE DIARIES ranked first in the hour among women 18-34 (tie), females 12-34 (3.1/9) and female teens (2.9/10).

SUPERNATURAL matched its best ratings of the season in adults 18-34 (1.5/4) and adults 18-49 (1.4/3-tie) and delivering its second largest audience of the season (2.9 million).

Squaring off against the "World Series" on Fox, The CW scored its best Thursday in more than 2 � years (best since March 2007) among adults 18-34 (1.9/5). The CW delivered its second best Thursday of the season in women 18-34 (2.3/6), adults 18-49 (1.7/4) and total viewers (3.6mil).

The CW's Thursday is up year-to-year by 77% in women 18-34, 19% in adults 18-34, 43% in women 18-49, 6% in adults 18-49 and 36% in female teens (1.9/6).

FRIDAY � 10/16/09

SMALLVILLE matched its season highs in adults 18-34 (1.2/5) and adults 18-49 (1.1/4), and reached a new season high with women 18-34 (1.0/4).
