Powered by the second season of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," freshman sensation "Make It or Break It," original comedies, "10 Things I Hate About You" and "Ruby & The Rockits" and high performing acquired features, ABC Family delivered its largest Summer audience on record in Prime in Total Viewers (1.4 million), Adults 18-34 (332,000), Adults 18-49 (611,000) and Viewers 12-34 (579,000) - - and with all three key female targets - - posting solid gains over year-ago across key categories. In fact, this marked the 3rd consecutive Summer the network grew its audience in Viewers, Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, and the 4th consecutive in Women 18-34 (228,000).

ABC Family ranked as ad-supported cable's No. 1 network in Prime in Females 12-34 (413,000) and Female Teens (185,000), and placed among the Top 5 in Women 18-34 (No. 5 � 228,000) and Viewers 12-34 (No. 4 � 579,000). In Total Viewers (1.4 million), ABC Family ranked a competitive 7th.

Year-to-year, ABC Family registered strong increases across key demos in Prime including by 8% in Total Viewers (1.4 million vs. 1.3 million), by 7% in Adults 18-34 (332,000 vs. 311,000), by 8% in Adults 18-49 (611,000 vs. 567,000) and by 6% in Viewers 12-34 (579,000 vs. 545,000).

In Total Day, posting best-ever Summer deliveries, ABC Family grew its audience for the 10th consecutive summer in Adults 18-34 (192,000) and Women 18-34 (137,000), and for the 8th straight in Adults 18-49 (319,000) and Women 18-49 (221,000).

Program Highlights

� "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" was Summer's #1 TV series in Teens (1.1 million/4.5 rating) and Female Teens (994,000/8.2 rating), TV's No. 1 scripted series in Viewers 12-34 (2.4 million/2.5 rating) and Females 12-34 (2.0 million/4.3 rating) and basic cable's No. 1 scripted program in Women 18-34 (991,000/2.9 rating).

� "Secret Life" accounted for ad-supported cable's Top 10 scripted telecasts in Females 12-34, and 8 of the Top 10 basic cable scripted telecasts in Women 18-34.

� ABC Family's second-most-watched original series ever across all key demos, "Make It or Break It" wrapped Summer 09 as basic cable's No. 2 scripted series in Females 12-34 (1.1 million/2.5 rating), behind only "The Secret Life of the American Teenager." In addition, the series stood as ad-supported cable's No. 2 series in Female Teens (609,000/5.0 rating) and ad-supported cable's No. 2 scripted series in Teens (664,000/2.7 rating).

� The July 12th showing of "Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire" qualified as ad-supported cable's No. 1 full length movie in Total Viewers (4.2 million) and Viewers 12-34 (1.5 million/1.6 rating), and the No. 1 movie on ad-supported cable overall in Adults 18-34 (1.0 million/1.5 rating) and Adults 18-49 (2.1 million/1.6 rating).

� Launching in July, "10 Things I Hate About You" stood as Tuesday's No. 1 TV show at 8 o'clock in Female Teens (460,000/3.8 rating), and cable's No. 1 show across core female demos Women 18-34 (332,000/1.0 rating), Women 18-49 (524,000/0.8 rating) and Females 12-34 (793,000/1.7 rating).

� Launching mid-Summer, "Ruby & The Rockits" delivered TV's No. 1 post on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. in Female Teens (380,000/3.1 rating), and was ad-supported cable's No. 1 show in Females 12-34 (569,000/1.2 rating) and Teens (423,000/1.7).
