60 Minutes Finishes Fourth for the Week with President's Longest Interview

"60 MINUTES" FINISHES FOURTH FOR THE WEEK WITH PRESIDENT'S LONGEST INTERVIEW

Interview Is a Hit across CBS News Digital Platforms

60 MINUTES' remarkable season continues with another top-five finish. Sunday's (22) broadcast featuring President Obama's longest interview since taking office drew 17.04 million viewers to land the hit program at #4 on Nielsen's weekly top-10 list.

The broadcast delivered a household rating of 10.4/17 to finish at #4 in that category, too. Compared to the same night last year, 60 MINUTES was up +48% viewers, +42% in households, +47% in adults 25-54 and +44% in adults 18-49.

The fourth-place finish for the week marked the seventh time 60 MINUTES cracked Nielsen's top-five weekly programs this season, including back-to-back number-one finishes in mid November. Overall this season, it has finished among Nielsen's top 10 16 times over 24 telecasts.

The interview was also a hit across CBS News digital platforms. On 60MINUTES.com, page views of streaming video over the Sunday-to-Monday period following the March 22 broadcast were up +134% over the same period last week, making it the highest traffic day on the site since the interview with hero pilot Chesley Sullenberger February 8.

In addition to Steve Kroft's interview of the president, the broadcast also included a Morley Safer story about a homeless musician about whom a book and film have been made.

60 MINUTES is averaging 15 million weekly viewers season to date, up +11% over the same period last year. It currently ranks #12 for the season.
