September 23, 2008 (Burbank, CA) - Record-setting ratings for GOSSIP GIRL, a growing ONE TREE HILL, weekly gains for 90210 and TOP MODEL, and the stellar return of SUPERNATURAL all led The CW to another strong week in its target demographics, for the week ending Sept. 21, 2008.

Four of The CW's series ranked among the week's Top 10 shows on broadcast television among women 18-34, including GOSSIP GIRL (#4, 4.3/12), AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL (#6, 3.8/12), ONE TREE HILL (#7, 3.7/9) and 90210 (#4, 3.1/9).

The CW ranked third for the week among women 18-34 (2.0/6), just 0.1 behind NBC, and ranked first among female teens (1.5/6). Compared to the same week a year ago, The CW scored dramatic gains of 25% in women 18-34, 15% in adults 18-34 (1.5/5), 21% in women 18-34 (1.7/5), 27% in adults 18-49 (1.4/4) and 9% in viewers (3.0mil).

Monday, Sept. 15

The CW's sophomore sensation GOSSIP GIRL broke all of its previous records last week, skyrocketing to all-time series highs in every category, including women 18-34 (4.3/12), adults 18-34 (2.8/8), women 18-49 (3.0/8), adults 18-49 (2.0/5) and viewers (3.7mil).

ONE TREE HILL soared to its best ratings in almost 2 years in women 18-34 (3.7/9), adults 18-34 (2.5/6), women 18-49 (2.7/6) and adults 18-49 (1.8/4), best since 12/6/06.

With the perfect pairing of GOSSIP GIRL and ONE TREE HILL, The CW was Monday's #1 Network with women 18-34 (4.0/11), adults 18-34 (2.6/7), women 18-49 (2.8/7-tie), persons 12-34 (2.4/7), females 12-34 (3.7/10). This marks the THIRD consecutive week that The CW has been Monday's #1 Network with its target demo of young women.

GOSSIP GIRL won its time period in adults 18-34, women 18-34, women 18-49, persons 12-34 (2.6/8), females 12-34 (4.0/12). ONE TREE HILL also ranked first its time period in women 18-34 (3.7/9), adults 18-34 (2.5/6), persons 12-34 (2.3/6), females 12-34 (3.4/9).

GOSSIP GIRL and ONE TREE HILL lifted The CW its best Monday ever last week in women 18-34, adults 18-34, women 18-49, adults 18-49 (1.9/5) and viewers (3.6mil).

Tuesday, Sept. 16

Facing intense competition, The CW's new hit series 90210 scored week-to-week gains of 6% in women 18-34 (3.3/10), 14% in adults 18-34 (2.4/7) and 3% in total viewers (3.3mil). 90210 matched its week ago ratings in adults 18-49 (1.7/5) and women 18-49 (2.4/6).

90210 ranked second in the hour with women 18-34 (3.3/10), adults 18-34 (2.4/7), persons 12-34 (2.0/7), females 12-34 (2.7/8). 90210 placed third in women 18-49 (2.4/6).

In week two, PRIVILEGED held 100% of its debut audience in adults 18-34 (1.4/4), 91% of last week's women 18-34 (2.1/5) and 92% of its adults 18-49 (1.1/3) and total audience (2.4mil).

Wednesday, Sept. 17

The CW's AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL posted its second straight week of gains in target demos, improving 9% in women 18-34 (3.8/12), 4% in adults 18-34 (2.5/9), 14% in women 18-49 (3.2/9), 5% in adults 18-49 (2.1/6) and 10% in viewers (4.3mil) versus last week.

For the third week in a row, The CW was Wednesday's #1 network with women 18-34 (2.9/8) and females 12-34 (2.6/8). The CW was second among adults 18-34 (1.9/6-tie) and persons 12-34 (1.7/6-tie).

TOP MODEL once again won the 8:00-9:00p.m. hour in women 18-34 (3.8/12), females 12-34 (3.5/11) and persons 12-34 (2.3/8-tie), and finished second among adults 18-34 (2.5/9).

Thursday, Sept. 18

The SUPERNATURAL premiere scored its best ratings since making its CW debut (9/28/06) in adults 18-49 (1.7/5), women 18-49 (1.8/5), men 18-49 (1.6/5) and viewers (4.0mil).

Versus its premiere last season (10/4/07), SUPERNATURAL improved dramatically with double-digit gains of +33% in adults 18-34 (1.6/5), +45% in women 18-34 (1.6/5), +42% in adults 18-49 (1.7/5), +64% in women 18-49 (1.8/5) and +33% in viewers (4mil).

SMALLVILLE's eighth season premiere ranked first in adults 18-34 (1.8/6-tie), men 18-34 (2.2/8), men 18-49 (2.1/7), persons 12-34 (1.8/6-tie) and males 12-34 (2.1/8). SMALLVILLE improved on its premiere a year ago (9/27/07) in men 18-49 (5%) and matched in men 18-34.

The CW was first on Thursday among men 18-34 (1.9/7-tie) and men 12-34 (1.9/7), and beat the Big 3 on Thursday in adults 18-34 (1.7/6), persons 12-34 (1.7/6) and men 18-49 (1.9/6).
