HISTORY OF A PLEASURE SEEKER (Hulu) - Ato Blankson-Wood is the latest to be cast in the drama pilot as Ntando, "who grew up in the Xhosa heartlands of South Africa's Eastern Cape, and left his village to seek employment in the city, where he so distinguished himself that his boss brought him to Amsterdam to work in his own house. In Europe, Ntando has a freedom he couldn't have dreamed of - and he's enjoying it to the max." (Deadline.com)
HORIZON ZERO DAWN (Netflix, New!) - A TV take on the video game franchise, "where robotic dinosaurs roam a post-apocalyptic America," is in early development at the streaming service. No other details were given about the project, which will presumably come from PlayStation Productions and Sony Pictures Television. (Variety.com)
IMPACT ATL, THE (BET+, New!) - Entertainment One and Quality Films are set to team for an eight-part series at the streamer which "will follow a group of young creatives who helped Atlanta become the ‘The New Influencer Capital of America', according to the New York Times. These creatives are involved in business, music, beauty, and fashion, and viewers will get a peek inside their creative process, preparation and deal-making." Pierre "P" Thomas, Kevin "Coach K" Lee, Brian Sher, Karam Gill, Tara Long and Gennifer Gardner are the executive producers with Slane Hatch serving as showrunner. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER (NBC) - Anthony Anderson won't return for the show's 22nd season. The actor previously signed a one-year deal to reprise his role of Kevin Bernard for the revival series. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME (NBC) - "Law & Order: SVU" alumnus Bryan Goluboff has been tapped as showrunner of the spin-off series. He'll take over from interim showrunner Barry O'Brien, who will remain an executive producer. (Deadline.com)
LOUD HOUSE LIVE-ACTION SERIES, THE (Paramount+) - Jolie Jenkins, Eva Carlton and Annaka Fourneret will round out the cast of the live-action take on the animated staple. Jenkins will portray Rita Loud; with Carlton as Leni Loud; and Fourneret as Lynn Loud. They'll succeed Muretta Moss, Dora Dolphin and Morgan McGill, respectively, from "A Loud House Christmas." Production begins next month for a premiere later this year. (Deadline.com)
LUPIN (Netflix) - Star Omar Sy has signed a first-look deal with HBO Max to develop new series projects for the streamer via his Korokoro banner. (Deadline.com)
MOVERS, THE (FOX, New!) - Susan Sarandon and Fat Joe will lend their voice to a proposed animated series at the network described as "a half-hour workplace comedy that explores New York City through the dysfunctional employees of the 78th ranked moving company in Manhattan." Sarandon, her son Jack Henry Robbins, and Danielle Uhlarik are behind the project, which is set up at FOX Entertainment and Bento Box Enteratinment. Fat Joe will executive produce alongside said trio. (Variety.com)
SEX LIVES OF COLLEGE GIRLS, THE (HBO Max) - Mitchell Slaggert is bound for the show's sophomore run as Jackson, "a former Division 1 athlete who transfers to Essex from a party school." (Variety.com)
TRUE DETECTIVE (HBO) - Jodie Foster is set to star in the long-awaited fourth season of the anthology series, which is "centered around Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro who are looking to solve the case of six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanishing without a trace, when the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska. The pair will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice." Foster will also executive produce alongside writer/director Issa López and Barry Jenkins. Alan Page Arriaga has likewise signed on to write alongside Lopez. (Deadline.com)
