Amazon Studios is producing new German comedy series Love Addicts

Amazon Studios today announced the development of the new German comedy series Love Addicts. The Amazon Original Production is dedicated to the adventurous, exciting, turbulent and fun love and mating behavior of four Hamburgers in their mid-twenties. The eight half-hour episodes will start exclusively on Prime Video in 2022.

Whether dating apps, one-night stands or sex toys delivered to the door - the love needs of Dennis, Nele, Mo and Katrin seem to have no limits. Or does it? Dennis fails to part with his possessive girlfriend. Nele chases away even the most perfect guys with her fairy tale fantasies. Mo freezes when he is about to enter into an emotional connection, and Katrin strictly renounces feelings, but compensates for them with enough sex. They meet in a self-help group and have to collectively ask themselves why the matter of love is always so difficult for them all ...

"With Love Addicts, Prime members can look forward to a wild, surprising and lifelike comedy series about love and friendship in the digital age," says Philip Pratt, Head of Amazon Studios Germany. "The Amazon Original series follows four wonderful main characters maneuvering through a world of terrible ex relationships, dating apps, and disappointing one-night stands to find love for life."

The producers Tobias Rosen (ROCCA changes the world, Watu Wote) and Bernd von Fehrn (KBV - No special occurrences, The Children of Windermere) add: "In challenging times like these, the longing for community and the" we-feeling "is more pronounced than ever. Our four diverse characters seem to be on the tireless search for love, but in the end we accompany them in finding perhaps even greater treasure - friendship with one another. With Julia Drache and the other authors, we have a great team to tell this touchingly, truthfully and with a lot of humor. We are very happy about the trusting cooperation with Amazon Studios and the chance to bring this special series to life with you. "

The Amazon Original Series is realized by Warner Bros. International Television Production for Amazon Studios and is based on an idea by Marian and Marco Grönwoldt. Julia Drache is the headwriter together with staff writer Burkhardt Wunderlich, Isaiah Michalski and Gemma Michalski. The Amazon Original Series is produced by Tobias Rosen, Bernd von Fehrn and Marie Rechberg.

Love Addicts complements the extensive range of thousands of films and series episodes on Prime Video, including German Amazon Originals such as Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo, LOL: Last One Laughing, Deutschland89, Bibi & Tina, SCHWE31NS7EIGER: Memories - From Beginning to Legends, BEAT and award-winning international Amazon Original series and films such as the Emmy and Golden Globe winners The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Fleabag, the OSCAR winner Sound of Metal, the Golden Globe winner and OSCAR-nominated Borat Anschluss Moviefilm, the OSCAR-nominees Time and One Night in Miami... , as well as The Boys, The Prince from Zamunda 2, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Sylvie's Love and Upload. In addition, numerous licensed contents are available for unlimited streaming.
