AMERICAN GANGSTER: TRAP QUEENS (BET+) - The first five episodes of the two-part series - narrated by rapper/actor Jeezy and featuring Delrhonda "Big 50" Hood, "Bank Fraud Queen" Jamila T. Davis, Thelma Wright, Rashia Wilson and Shauna Barry-Scott - are now available on the streaming service. Said effort is a follow up to the 2006-09 series from A. Smith & Company Productions. Arthur Smith, Frank Sinton, Greg Mathis, Delece James, Mark Anthony, Breht Gardner, Jackson Nguyen and Sade Oyinade are the executive producers. The rest of the series' episodes will be released at a later date. (Variety.com)
CLUELESS (New!) - Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey are making the rounds with "a new, dramatic take on the high school comedy centered on the Dionne character played by Stacey Dash in the movie and the 1996 series adaptation." CBS Television Studios is behind the project with Corinne Brinkerhoff, Tiffany Grant and Robert Lawrence also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
DEAD TO ME (Netflix) - Natalie Morales will recur on the show's sophomore run as Michelle: "Described as wry and down to earth, Michelle has a relaxed charm and infectious wit. DEPUTY (FOX) - Karrueche Tran will recur on the freshman drama as Genevieve: "Cute and incorrigible, she is the fun-loving, quick-witted partner of a by-the-books deputy in the department. Spunky and bright, she certainly makes an impression on everyone she comes in contact with. Genevieve has knack for bringing out the best in everyone, be it with a sharp joke or a loving embrace." FARGO (FX) - Former supervising producer Monica Beletsky has signed a multi-year overall deal with Apple TV+. (Deadline.com)
FOR ALL MANKIND (Apple TV+) - Sonya Walger's Molly Cobb and Krys Marshall's Danielle Poole will be promoted to regulars on the just-ordered second season of the series. (Deadline.com)
GAYME SHOW (Quibi, New!) - Matt Rogers and Dave Mizzoni are set to host a new competition series on the short-form video service in which "each episode features two straight contestants paired with a celebrity "life partner" as they battle head to head in physical, mental and even emotional challenges for the title of "Queen of the Straights."" Jax Media is behind the project with Rogers, Mizzoni, Genevieve Aniello, Brooke Posch, Séamus Murphy-Mitchell and Tony Hernandez executive producing. (Deadline.com)
MARE OF EASTTOWN (HBO) - The Kate Winslet-led limited series has added John Douglas Thompson as Chief Carter, "Mare's (Winslet) boss at the Easttown Police Department"; Patrick Murney as Kenny McMenamin, "Erin's (Cailee Spaeny) father, a stocky, tattooed man who works as a mason"; Ben Miles as Richard Ryan, "a rumpled but charming visiting creative writing professor"; James McArdle as Deacon Mark Burton, "a transitional deacon who is kind, quiet and idealistic"; Sosie Bacon as Carrie Layden, "Drew's mother and Kevin's ex-girlfriend"; Joe Tippett as John Ross, "Lori's (Julianne Nicholson) good-natured husband and high school sweetheart"; and Neal Huff as Father Dan Hastings, "Mare's cousin, a progressive, inclusive Roman Catholic priest who struggles with his faith." MRS. THOMPSON (NBC, New!) - Jake Coburn has sold a new drama to the Peacock which "revolves around a young woman who, after she marries into one of New York's wealthiest and most influential families, soon begins to learn that behind the glamorous facade lies a web of lies and deadly secrets they will do anything to protect." TI & TINY: FRIENDS AND FAMILY HUSTLE (VH1) - The cable channel has quietly ordered a third season of the series. Production is underway on 12 new episodes, due in 2020. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JEFFERIES & MARTIN PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Comedian Jim Jefferies ("The Jim Jefferies Show") is attached to star in a multi-camera comedy for the Peacock in which he plays "a fictionalized version of himself, offering his unique take on modern life and the complexity of relationships." He'll also co-write the half-hour, which has a put pilot commitment, alongside Suzanne Martin. Hazy Mills Productions' Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner and Brillstein Entertainment Partners' Tim Sarkes and Alex Murray will also executive produce for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED LIL DICKY SERIES (FX) - Executive producer Saladin K. Patterson has signed an overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. The pact gives the studio exclusive access to his output. (Deadline.com)
