A LIST, THE (Netflix, New!) - The streaming service has closed a deal with Kindle Entertainment for the non-U.K. rights to the 13-part series, which "explores universal teen concerns of friendship, romance, loyalty and betrayal." Lisa Ambalavner and Ellie Duckles star in the drama, which "centers around Mia (Ambalavner), who arrives at an idyllic summer camp expecting to be Queen Bee, but the 'holiday of a lifetime' turns into a twisted nightmare with the arrival of the mysterious Amber (Duckles)." Writer Dan Berlinka and Kindle co-founder Anne Brogan are presumably the executive producers. (Deadline.com, 7/4)
AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX) - Franchise staple Sarah Paulson will "have a smaller part in the upcoming season of the FX series" as the actress focuses on Ryan Murphy's Netflix series "Ratched." (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO MED (NBC) - Colin Donnell's Connor Rhodes will return for the show's fifth season premiere to wrap his character's storyline. The actor indicated his departure back in April. (USMagazine.com)
FUGITIVE, THE (Quibi, New!) - Nick Santora is spearheading a new incarnation of Roy Huggins's 1960s series on the short-form video platform. Said effort "centers on blue collar worker Mike Russo, who just wants to make sure his wife, Allison, and 10-year-old daughter, Pearl, are safe, when a bomb rips through the Los Angeles subway train he's riding on. But the faulty evidence on the ground and "tweet-now, confirm-later" journalism paint a nightmarish picture: it looks to all the world that Mike was responsible for the heinous act." Thunder Road Films, 3 Arts Entertainment, Riverstone Pictures and Warner Bros. Television are all co-producing with Basil Iwanyk, Tom Lassally and Albert Torres also among the executive producers. GOOD TROUBLE (Freeform) - Juan Antonio and Shawntay Dalon are both bound for the current season as Marcus, "a smart and confident lawyer at Legal Aid who likes to play by the rules"; and Lisa, "a smart, charismatic, single mother who is facing potential eviction from her apartment building," respectively. GROWN-ISH (Freeform) - Ryan Destiny will recur on the show's third season as Jillian, "a transfer student from an HBCU who has come to study filmmaking at Cal U. Smart, worldly, and cultured, Jillian can talk art and music with Luca (Luka Sabbat), politics and activism with Aaron (Trevor Jackson), and also fits right in with Zoey (Yara Shahidi) and her eclectic crew of girls." PUNCHLINE (Syndication) - Melissa Peterman has been tapped to host a new six-week test run of the syndicated strip, in which two teams of comedians compete to come up with the best punchlines based on the days' headlines, on various Fox Television Stations beginning July 15. Marc Istook hosted the inaugural wave in 2017. Dave Noll and Cleve Keller remain as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
SWAT (CBS) - Amy Farrington has joined the cast of the show's third season as Lt. Lynch: "Recommended by the Mayor as a tactical consultant to S.W.A.T., Lt. Lynch challenges the team's normal strategies in the field. Not a S.W.A.T. officer, she is an experienced detective with impressive contacts all over Los Angeles." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED TRACY OLIVER PROJECT (Amazon, New!) - Tracy Oliver has scored a 10-episode order from Amazon Studios for a new comedy series "following the lives of four black women - friends from their college days at NYU - as they navigate sex, relationships and chasing their dreams." The project is set up at the Universal Television-based Paper Kite Productions with Amy Poehler, Kim Lessing and 3 Arts Entertainment's Dave Becky likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
