ARRANGEMENT, THE (E!) - The cable channel has opted not to renew the series for a third season. "Over two seasons, E!'s scripted series 'The Arrangement' has taken viewers inside the world of an A-list movie star filled with secrets, scandal and romance," the network said in a statement. "While we have decided not to move forward with the series, we are incredibly grateful to the cast and our production partners." The show's sophomore run averaged 799,000 viewers in Live+3 (462,000 adults 18-49) on par with its lead-in "The Royals" (830,000 viewers in Live+3; 453,000 adults 18-49). No decision has been made about the latter series. (Deadline.com)
LOCKE & KEY (Netflix) - The streaming service is in final negotiations to pick up the series adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's IDW Entertainment comic series, which was previously in the works at Hulu. Said effort would be redeveloped by Netflix with two roles - Tyler (Jack Mulhern) and Kinsey (Megan Charpentier) - expected to be recast. Andy Muschietti, who helmed the original pilot, will continue on as an executive producer but not direct the new pilot. Hill, Carlton Cuse, Barbara Muschietti, Ted Adams and David Ozer will likewise executive produce with Frances O'Connor, Jackson Robert Scott, Nate Corddry, Samantha Mathis, Owen Teague and Danny Glover also starring. The news marks the third home for Hill's comic, which previously shot a pilot for FOX in 2011. (Deadline.com)
WALKING DEAD, THE (AMC) - Co-star Andrew Lincoln reportedly plans to exit the series during its upcoming ninth season. The network however has yet to comment on the news, which suggests his final run would be for just six episodes. (EW.com)
