BREAKS, THE (BET) - The cable channel has scrapped is plans for a second season of the former VH1 series. Said decision is reportedly tied to BET's limited shelf space following its recent series pickups. (THR.com)
CHARLIE ROSE: THE WEEK (PBS) - CBS and PBS have suspended Charlie Rose amid sexual harassment allegations against him. The latter's statement reads: "PBS was shocked to learn today of these deeply disturbing allegations. We are immediately suspending distribution of Charlie Rose. Charlie Rose is produced by Charlie Rose, Inc., an independent television production company. PBS does not fund this nightly program or supervise its production, but we expect our producers to provide a workplace where people feel safe and are treated with dignity and respect." (Deadline.com)
DESIGNATED SURVIVOR (ABC) - Breckin Meyer has scored a recurring role on the series as Trey Kirkman, "the polar opposite of his older brother, Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland), in temperament and life choices. Trey is smart, outgoing, a bit of a free spirit but grounded enough to have forged a successful career in the world of finance. He's been estranged from Tom for years but they reconnect, as Trey becomes an important confidant and counselor to his brother, especially in personal matters." (Deadline.com)
HARLEY QUINN (DC, New!) - Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey are set to team for an adult animated series on DC's upcoming direct-to-consumer digital platform, which "focuses on Harley Quinn who has finally broken things off once and for all with the Joker and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City." Warner Bros. Animation is behind the project, which has a 26-episode order. Margot Robbie is reportedly being targeted to voice the title role, coming off her turn in the feature "Suicide Squad." Sam Register also executive produces alongside Lorey and Ehsugadee Productions' Halpern and Schumacker with Jennifer Coyle producing. (Deadline.com)
JUICY STORIES (E!, New!) - Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor's memoir "The Glitter Plan" is being developed as a drama series by the cable channel which "tells the tale of two women who made clothes, made mistakes, made babies - and made one of the most iconic brands of the 1990s, Juicy Couture." Michael Patrick King and Amy B. Harris are behind the hour, which has a pilot commitment, from Michael Patrick King Productions, Warner Horizon Scripted Television and Universal Cable Productions. Skaist-Levy and Nash-Taylor will also receive producing credits. Last year, Freeform tried to develop the duo's book as the comedy series "Made in LA." (Deadline.com)
ONE DAY SHE'LL DARKEN (TNT) - Connie Nielsen has signed onto the limited series as Corinna Hodel, "a fading socialite beauty with a cigarette in a long black holder; an alcoholic who's seen her family shattered, her fortunes tossed to the winds... Corinna finds herself a keeper of secrets, but none more fearsome than those she keeps from herself." (Deadline.com)
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE (Syfy/USA, New!) - Blumhouse Television has scored a pilot order from NBCUniveral Cable Entertainment for a new drama "centered on the last night of Dia de Los Muertos (aka Day of the Dead), when a grieving detective is thrust into a deadly game to bring someone back from the dead." Patricia Riggen will direct from a script by Chris Cullari and Jennifer Raite with Jason Blum, Jeremy Gold, Marci Wiseman and Jessica Rhoades serving as executive producers for Universal Cable Productions. Riggen, Cullari and Raite are co-executive producers. Already attached to star are Josh Segarra as Julian Silva; with Andrew Jacobs as Victor Macias; Carlos Leal as Yellow Skull; Danube Hermosillo as Lia Macias; Angela Alvarado as Elena Macias; Jennifer Landon as Rachel Spokes; Kadeem Hardison as Gilbert "Gil" Barnes; and Fernanda Andrade as Mariana Silva. The project is being developed with both USA and Syfy as potential homes. (Deadline.com)
SCORPION (CBS) - Shantel VanSanten will recur on the series as "Toby's onetime fiancée, Amy Berkstead, who is now married to his nemesis, pop-psychologist Quincy Berkstead (Jeff Galfer)." (TVLine.com)
TRANSPARENT (Amazon) - Co-star Jeffrey Tambor announced over the weekend he will not return to series following two accusations of sexual harassment. Said the actor: "Playing Maura Pfefferman on Transparent has been one of the greatest privileges and creative experiences of my life. What has become clear over the past weeks, however, is that this is no longer the job I signed up for four years ago." (Deadline.com)
