Freeform Releases the #GrownishChallenge
Freeform, Disney's young adult television and streaming network, released the #GrownishChallenge today, choreographed and arranged by Derek Watkins, better known as Fonzworth Bentley. The video stars, in order of appearance, Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, Jordan Buhat, Trevor Jackson, Yara Shahidi, Francia Raisa, Emily Arlook, Luka Sabbat and Chris Parnell.
From "black-ish" executive producer Kenya Barris, comes a contemporary take on the current issues facing both students and administrators in the world of higher education. Yara Shahidi portrays Zoey - Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow's (Tracee Ellis Ross) popular, entitled, stylish and socially active 17-year-old daughter - as she heads off to college and quickly discovers that not everything goes her way once she leaves the nest. Freeform's "grown-ish" stars Yara Shahidi ("black-ish") as Zoey Johnson, Trevor Jackson ("Burning Sands," "American Crime") as Aaron Jackson, Jordan Buhat ("Summer of '84") as Vivek Shah, Emily Arlook ("The Good Place," "Hand of God") as Nomi Segal, Francia Raisa ("The Secret Life of the American Teenager") as Ana Torres, Chris Parnell ("SNL") as Dean Parker and Deon Cole ("black-ish") as Charlie Telphy. Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, and Luka Sabbat also recur in the series. Kenya Barris, Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Helen Sugland and E. Brian Dobbins are executive producers of the series. "grown-ish" is produced by ABC Signature Studios. "grown-ish" will premiere Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
