AGE OF MIRACLES, THE (AMC, New!) - Karen Thompson Walker's bestselling novel is being developed as a drama series at the cable channel. Sinead Daly ("The Get Down") will pen the adaptation, which "follows a Southern California teen as she and her family awake to discover that the rotation of the Earth has suddenly and exponentially begun to slow. As the days and nights grow longer and longer, gravity is affected, and people start falling sick to a mysterious new illness. The girl is also forced to cope with the normal disasters of everyday life when her parents' marriage falls apart and she struggles with lost friends and first love." Shawn Levy, Dan Levine and Emily Morris will executive produce via their 21 Laps Entertainment banner. (Deadline.com)
ASH VS EVIL DEAD (Starz) - Arielle Carver-O'Neill has joined the cast of the show's third season as Brandy, "a smart middle-class American high school senior whose life is up-ended when she finds herself caught up in violent demonic events." (Deadline.com)

DRAMA HIGH (NBC) - Veteran Rosie Perez and up-and-comer Rarmian Newton have both been cast in the drama pilot as Tracey Wolfe, "the high energy with a no-holds-barred mouth current Drama School teacher and a former high school theater person who is finding someone else with passion and vision can still inspire her"; and Maashous Evers, "a mysterious, independent and handsome student from a broken home who works as the lighting technician on all the school's drama projects." (Deadline.com)

Guevara then is Amanda Hansen, "a single mom facing every mother's worst nightmare: the disappearance of her young daughter"; with Coster as Mr. Blue, "the lead villain otherwise known as Leonardo Scaramucci, whose wealth and status as a legitimate businessman in the wine import trade support an increasingly profitable and highly illegal sideline." (Deadline.com)
HIGHER GROUND (CBS) - Zach Appelman has been tapped for a role on the drama pilot as Detective Matthew Webb, "who's extremely alert, sees things with a unique straightforward perspective, and is the one who challenges Naomi's (TBD) thinking." (Deadline.com)

(Deadline.com)
LUCIFER (FOX) - The recently renewed drama will relocate from Vancouver to Los Angeles for its third season. The project filmed its pilot in Los Angeles. (Deadline.com)
MODERN FAMILY (ABC) - The network and 20th Century Fox Television are on track for a ninth season order as said parties have "reached an agreement in principle, outlying what the license-fee structure should look like predicated on making new salary agreements with the actors." (Deadline.com)
