DRAMA TAKES CENTER STAGE IN TLC'S "LITTLE MISS ATLANTA"

- Four-Episode Series Premieres Wednesday, October 5th at 10/9c -

(Silver Spring, MD) - Welcome to Atlanta and The Little Miss Black US Pageant, where there's only one crown and everyone is going to do whatever it takes to win. LITTLE MISS ATLANTA centers around the fiercely competitive world of children's beauty pageants, where the kids are the stars, but the moms aren't going down without a fight... literally. The adorable contestants and their determined mothers take the pageant world by storm in the all-new, four-episode series premiering Wednesday, October 5, at 10/9c after TLC's popular TODDLERS & TIARAS.

Shot in Atlanta, each episode of LITTLE MISS ATLANTA follows three young African-American pageant contestants and their mothers as they prepare to compete in the intense world of pageantry. The girls, who range in age from three-years-old to 10-years-old, are always in it to win it, but their stage moms are the ones who eat, sleep and breathe pageants. Whether it's spending $15,000 on a single competition or leaving the pageant hall in a rage, these moms will stop at nothing to make sure their daughter leaves a winner.

Jasmine Crowe and Kim Anderson co-founded The Little Miss Black US pageant after seeing a need for a national pageant system that praised African-American girls and young women to celebrate the magic within them. Jasmine, the Pageant Organizer, orchestrates every detail - from conception to execution. She handles advertising, venue selection, prizes, recruiting judges and dealing with the pushy parents. Kim, the Pageant Organizer and Coach, is a former beauty queen. She is the host, announcer and crowns the winner. During their reign, the Little Miss Black US Pageant Queens have the opportunity to win a scholarship, encourage and inspire their peers to be student and community leaders and express their talents on a national level.

In the season premiere of LITTLE MISS ATLANTA, The Little Miss Black US pageant kicks off as two rivals go head-to-head, leading to the most jaw-dropping stage exits in history. We'll meet seven-year-old Kelsey, who is new to the pageant world, but her mom is determined to do whatever it takes to make sure her daughter wins the crown. Then, Balouy pulls out all of the stops to ensure her seven-year-old daughter, Ava, leaves a winner after experiencing a losing streak. Plus, five-year-old Sa'Nyia competes in her first-ever pageant after overcoming a life-threatening birth defect.

Who will take the title? Who will be left in tears? And, who will walk away empty handed?
