Republic Records And Stardog Records to Release Official ROADIES Soundtrack on August 26th

LOS ANGELES - June 23, 2016 - In advance of this Sunday's premiere of the network's highly anticipated series ROADIES, SHOWTIME is unveiling some of the music, personally curated by series creator/executive producer/writer and music supervisor Cameron Crowe, that will be featured in the one-hour ensemble. Republic Records and Stardog Records will be releasing the official ROADIES soundtrack on August 26th. The series premieres Sunday, June 26th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The hyper eclectic mix of songs from ROADIES will include works from artists as wide-ranging as Bob Dylan, The Ramones, The Replacements, The Ting Tings, Jeff Buckley and more. Many of music's best will also make appearances, including Lindsey Buckingham, The Head & the Heart, Lucius, Halsey, Jim James and Reignwolf, who also contributes some of the score for one episode. Joy Williams (The Civil Wars) guest stars. Crowe, with help from ROADIES producer and Stardog Records label president Kelly Curtis (Pearl Jam), hand-picked the genre-bending, decade-spanning mix of new and classic rock, indie, folk, bluegrass, electronic, and blues and more. Featured music will include an extremely rare, never-before released cover of Bob Dylan's "Farewell Angelina" by Jeff Buckley and Gary Lucas; "Dreams of Flying" off of Tom Petty's band Mudcrutch's recent record; Buckingham's "Bleed to Love Her" and "Big Love"; Hannah Huston from The Voice on, "I Can't Make You Love Me"; "Loudmouth" from the Ramones; and "Given to Fly" by Pearl Jam. The songs will at times reflect some of the Staton-House band tour stops - native trio T.L.C.'s "Kick Your Game" and the live version of classic band Little Feat's "Oh Atlanta" will play in Atlanta.

Curtis, who has managed Pearl Jam since the band's inception in 1990, worked on several of Crowe's films: as a researcher on Say Anything, an associate producer on Singles, and a tech advisor on Almost Famous.

ROADIES gives an insider's look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of roadies who live for music and the de facto family they've formed along the way. The series chronicles the rock world through the eyes of music's unsung heroes and pays homage to the backstage workers who put the show on the road while touring the United States for the successful arena-level group, The Staton-House Band. Luke Wilson (Old School, Enlightened) and Screen Actors Guild(R) Award nominee Carla Gugino (San Andreas), Imogen Poots (The Look of Love), Rafe Spall (One Day), Academy Award(R) nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes (Whale Rider), Peter Cambor (NCIS: Los Angeles), Colson Baker a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly (Beyond the Lights) and Ron White (Blue Collar Comedy Tour) star in the ensemble cast. Luis Guzman (Boogie Nights), Jacqueline Byers (The Strain), Finesse Mitchell (Saturday Night Live), Branscombe Richmond (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Tanc Sade (Matador, Gilmore Girls) guest star. Emmy(R) and Tony(R) nominee Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life, Wicked) serves as writer and executive producer, along with Emmy winners J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, Lost), Bryan Burk (Lost, Fringe, Person of Interest) and Len Goldstein (Hart of Dixie). Kathy Lingg (Person of Interest, Fringe) is co-executive producer. ROADIES is produced by Bad Robot Productions, Vinyl Films and Dooley & Company Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. For more information about ROADIES, visit SHO.com, follow on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and join the conversation using #Roadies.
