truTV Announces Promotions in Programming and Marketing Departments
truTV has promoted Marissa Ronca to executive vice president, head of programming, and Puja Vohra to executive vice president, marketing and digital. Both are based in New York and will continue to report to Chris Linn, president of truTV.
In her new role, Ronca serves as the lead executive overseeing truTV's diverse slate of original programming, scripted and unscripted, from concept through production. Based around the network's October 2014 rebrand leaning towards a comedic sensibility, she will continue to develop new shows in line with truTV's brand promise of "Way More Fun" and will work closely with the Marketing, Digital, Communications and Ad Sales teams across the network to ensure network series have a consistent identity across all platforms.
In her new role, Vohra will continue to oversee all marketing, off-air creative, digital and social functions surrounding truTV's original programming and brand outreach. In addition she will add oversight of the network's Creative Services team to promote a cohesive on-air and multi-platform creative strategy. She will lead in developing strategy, creative and promotions to strengthen the truTV brand, develop the network's audience and drive engagement on all platforms.

Ronca most recently served as senior vice president of development & original programming for truTV where she worked closely with Linn to evolve truTV's original programming to appeal to a younger, dual-gender audience that looks for television to take them on a fun ride that both surprises and entertains. In this position, Ronca turned over a slate of more than 30 new projects in development which led to greenlights on a diverse portfolio of shows that includes the hit series Impractical Jokers, The Carbonaro Effect, Adam Ruins Everything, Hack My Life, Billy on the Street, and truTV's first foray into scripted programming, Those Who Can't. Ronca previously served as vice president of program development at truTV. She joined the network (then known as Court TV) in 2007 and was a key player in its transformation into truTV in 2008. Before coming to truTV, Ronca was director of development at TLC and Discovery Home Channel, where she was part of the team responsible for cultivating the successful series Little People, Big World, LA Ink and Say Yes to the Dress.
Vohra most recently served as senior vice president of marketing and digital for truTV. In this role, she was responsible for the development and execution of truTV marketing and digital strategies, as well as creating and implementing innovative campaigns to expand the truTV brand and promote the network to the consumer and trade communities, both off-air and online. She is also responsible for the network's multi-platform content strategy and led her team to successful campaigns for marquee series including Billy on the Street, The Carbonaro Effect and Adam Ruins Everything as well as the buzzed about brand campaign #HaveUFoundtruTV. She joined truTV in March 2014 after serving as senior vice president of marketing at Oxygen Media, where she managed the network's consumer marketing and ad-sales teams. Prior to her role at Oxygen, Vohra worked on consumer marketing, media, partnerships an d trade marketing at Bravo Media.
