SHOWTIME(R) OFFERS A SNEAK PREVIEW OF NEW COMEDY SERIES "HAPPYish" AFTER THE SEASON FINALE OF "SHAMELESS" ON SUNDAY, APRIL 5

HAPPYish, Starring Steve Coogan, Kathryn Hahn And Bradley Whitford Premieres Sunday, April 26th At 9:30 PM ET/PT

NEW YORK, NY - March 27, 2015 - SHOWTIME will air a special sneak preview of the pilot episode of the new half-hour comedy series HAPPYish on Sunday, April 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The episode will air immediately following the season five finale of SHAMELESS at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The series premiere of HAPPYish, starring Oscar(R) and Golden Globe(R) nominee Steve Coogan, Kathryn Hahn and Emmy(R) winner and Golden Globe nominee Bradley Whitford, will air on Sunday, April 26th at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. HAPPYish is a comedic, soul-searching examination of our pursuit of happiness and why it continues to be so elusive. Currently in production in New York, HAPPYish also features guest stars Emmy and Tony(R) Award winner Ellen Barkin, Emmy Award winner Carrie Preston, Molly Price and Andre Royo. For a brand new tease from the series, go to: http://s.sho.com/1EJ0xrg.

Coogan stars as Thom Payne, a 44 year-old man whose world is thrown into disarray when his 25 year-old wunderkind boss arrives, saying things like "digital," "social" and "viral." Is he in need of a "rebranding," or does he just have a "low joy ceiling?" Maybe pursuing happiness is a fool's errand? Maybe, after 44 years on this ludicrous planet, settling for happyish is the best one can expect. HAPPYish is created, written and executive produced by critically acclaimed author and regular This American Life contributor Shalom Auslander. Emmy Award nominee Ken Kwapis (He's Just Not That Into You, A Walk In The Woods) executive produces and directed the pilot. Kwapis' producing partner Alexandra Beattie serves as co-executive producer under their In Cahoots banner.

The season five finale of SHAMELESS will air Sunday, April 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. As the season comes to a close, Fiona (Golden Globe nominee Emmy Rossum) faces tough decisions in her romantic life while Frank (Golden Globe nominee and Screen Actors Guild Award(R) winner William H. Macy) has love struggles of his own in Costa Rica, doing just about anything to keep Bianca (guest star Bojana Novakovic) happy. The series also stars, Jeremy Allen White, Cameron Monaghan, Ethan Cutkosky, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, Emma Kenney, Noel Fisher, Emily Bergl and special guest star Joan Cusack. Dermot Mulroney, Steve Kazee, Justin Chatwin, and Sasha Alexander also guest star. Based on the long-running hit U.K. series, SHAMELESS is executive-produced by Emmy Award winning television and film producer John Wells, Andrew Stearn, Christopher Chulack, Davey Holmes and Nancy Pimental. Wells developed the series for American television. Paul Abbott serves as executive consultant. SHAMELESS is produced by Bonanza Productions, Inc. in association with John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
