AMERICAN GOTHIC (CBS, New!) - Corinne Brinkerhoff ("The Good Wife") has booked a potential drama at the Eye about "a prominent Boston family who, in the wake of a chilling discovery that implicates their recently deceased patriarch in a series of murders spanning decades, struggles to redefine itself, all under the mounting suspicion that one of them may have been his accomplice." CBS Television Studios is behind the hour with Full Fathom Five's James Frey and Todd Cohen and Amblin Television's Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)


JUSTIN AND ABBY AND OH YEA ZACK TOO (CBS, New!) - Justin Noble ("Dads") has sold a single-camera comedy to the network about "platonic best friends Justin and Abby - and Abby's boyfriend, who feels like a third wheel." Tad Quill is supervising the half-hour, which is set up at the CBS Television Studios-based Tannenbaum Co. Quill, Eric and Kim Tannenbaum will executive produce, with Noble co-executive producing. LITTLE WOMEN (ABC, New!) - Natascha McElhone ("Californication") is set to star and executive produce a potential limited series based on Louisa May Alcott's classic novel, about "the lives of four sisters - coming of age against the backdrop of a military scandal as their family loses its fortune and position - who find themselves at odds with the conservative and traditional society in which they live." Jordan Roberts (Big Hero 6) is attached to pen the script with Essential Media's Simonne Overend, Ruby Films' Alison Owen and director Canny Lad Productions' Julie Anne Robinson also executive producing for ABC Signature. SYSTEM, THE (FOX, New!) - Playwright Jon Caren (The Recommendations) has set up a new drama at the network about "six 20-somethings with very different points of view on the criminal justice system. While they struggle to figure out their own messy lives, their high stakes jobs force them to make decisions with life or death consequences." 20th Century Fox Television-based Small Dog Picture Company is behind the hour with the company's Jason Winer and Renate Radford also serving as executive producers and Caren as a co-executive producer. UNTITLED ALI WENTWORTH PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Ali Wentworth and Jackie Clarke have sold a single-camera comedy at the Alphabet inspired by Wentworth's family, about "Ali, her husband and their two kids and examines how their home life descends into chaos. She shoots a video blog out of their apartment, and his crazy hours as a morning newsman make it so their lives never sync up." Bill Lawrence and Jeff Ingold's Warner Bros. Television-based Doozer is behind the half-hour with Wentworth and Clarke serving as co-executive producers. (THR.com)


UNTITLED CHRIS LEVINSON PROJECT (FX, New!) - Chris Levinson ("Tyrant") has set up a new drama at the cable channel billed as "a psychological thriller set in the world of black hat pharma." She'll write and executive produce for Fox 21 as part of her new two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television. Michael Cuesta is also executive producing and will likely direct. UNTITLED GREGG METTLER PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Gregg Mettler ("Back in the Game") has landed an autobiographical single-camera comedy at the Alphabet about "how he survived life with his unconventional parents - a locally famous puppeteer and an aspiring blues musician." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan will also executive produce for Warner Bros. Television. (Deadline.com)
