BACHELOR PARTY (ABC, New!) - J.J. Philbin and Josh Malmuth ("New Girl") have scored a put pilot commitment for a new comedy at the Alphabet loosely inspired by Neal Israel's 1984 movie, which will "examines relationships and the institution of marriage through the lens of three couples: one about to get married, another recently divorced and a third just falling in love." Small Dog Picture Co.'s Jason Winer and Renate Radford as well as The Walcott Co.'s Jake Johnson and Max Winkler are also executive producing alongside Philbin for 20th Century Fox Television with Malmuth as a co-executive producer and Mary Lee serving as producer. EXPERT WITNESS (FOX, New!) - "Prime Suspect" alums Alexandra Cunningham and Kevin Hynes are set to re-team for a new drama at the network about "an expert witness firm that helps solve high-profile, high-stakes cases - including an attorney, a jury consultant, a former cop turned ballistics and polygraph expert, a former FBI profiler turned criminal behaviorist and a forensic pathologist." Film 44's Peter Berg and Sarah Aubrey are also on board to executive produce the hour, which has a put pilot commitment, for 20th Century Fox Television. Cunningham then will executive produce with Hynes as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)


LONG GAME, THE (ABC, New!) - Writer Jennifer Schuur ("Hannibal"), novelist Kate Atkinson and director Julie Anne Robinson ("Suburgatory") are set to team for a new drama at the Alphabet about "a gutsy female forensic accountant who exposes fraud for a living and has finally found fulfillment both at work and in love until a case comes along that threatens to turn her world upside down." Said effort is set up at the ABC Studios-based Shondaland with Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Schuur and Canny Lads Productions' Robinson executive producing and Atkinson and Helen Gregory serving as co-executive producers. MR. ROBOT (USA/UCP; W: Sam Esmail; D: Niels Arden Oplev) - Christian Slater ("Mind Games") has been tapped for the title role on the drama pilot, about a young programmer, Elliot (Rami Malek), who suffers from a debilitating anti-social disorder and decides that he can only connect to people by hacking them. He wields his skills as a weapon to protect the people that he cares about. Elliot will find himself in the intersection between a cybersecurity firm he works for and the underworld organizations that are recruiting him to bring down corporate America. Slater will play Mr. Robot, "a mysterious anarchist who recruits Elliot into an underground hacker group." Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin and Martin Wallstrom also star. (Deadline.com)


NO ANGELS (ABC, New!) - The Alphabet is taking another stab at importing Toby Whithouse's U.K. comedy, about a raucous group of four female nurses working together and sharing the same house. Stacy Traub ("Glee") is penning the latest take, succeeding John Hoberg and Kat Likkel from last year. Roderick Seligman, Simon Heath, Julie Anne Robinson, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank are also on board as executive producers for ABC Studios and Amblin Television. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED SEBASTIAN MANISCALCO PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco is on track to star in a potential comedy at the Peacock which "follows newlywed Sebastian as he attempts to stay true to his blue-collar roots while adjusting to a world full of people he finds increasingly offensive." Austen Earl ("The Millers") is penning the half-hour for the CBS Television Studios-based Amigos de Garcia Productions. Greg Garcia, Judy Brown-Marmel, Norman Aladjem and Alix Jaffe then will executive produce alongside Earl. (Deadline.com)


WINDWARD CLINIC (CBS, New!) - Alexandra McNally ("Under the Dome") has sold a new medical drama to the Eye which "takes an unflinching look at the deeply personal and raw stories of the dedicated health care workers who come together at a clinic in Venice that serves as a crossroads for the haves and have-nots." CBS Television Studios is behind the hour with the studio-based Neal Baer also serving as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)
