EAT, SLEEP, POOP (NBC, New!) - David Bickel ("The King of Queens") has booked a potential multi-camera comedy at the Peacock about "a celebrity pediatrician who is top of the line and revered at work but is not as good practicing what he preaches with his wife and kids at home." Said effort is based on Dr. Scott W. Cohen's book of the same name, subtitled "A Common Sense Guide To Your Baby's First Year." Universal Television-based Storyline Entertainment's Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will also executive produce with Cohen and Mark Nicholson serving as consulting producers. Bickel previously set up the comedy "Gifted" at NBC last season, which is now being redeveloped at TV Land. (Deadline.com)

ESCAPE YOUR LIFE (TNT, New!) - Red Arrow Entertainment Group's Kinetic Content has sold a new reality format to the cable channel in which "three couples are each given the chance to begin afresh, with each awakening in a completely new location and then have six weeks to find jobs, a place to live and to start their new lives." Chris Coelen, Katie Griffin, Henrik Pabst, Michael Peter Schmidt and Jan David Frouman are the executive producers. (Deadline.com)

GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE, THE (Starz; W/D: Amy Seimetz & Lodge Kerrigan) - Riley Keough (The Runaways) has booked the female lead on the upcoming anthology series, which explores the relationships of the most exclusive courtesans who provide their clients with far more than just sex. These purveyors - or GFEs (Girlfriend Experience) - share intimacies more common to romantic partners or husbands and wives, becoming quasi-lovers and confidants who are richly paid for their time. No other specifics were given. (Deadline.com)

MAD DOGS (Amazon/Sony; W: Cris Cole; D: Charles McDougall) - Michael Imperioli ("Detroit 1-8-7") will round out the cast of the drama pilot, which follows the reunion of four forty-something guys who head to Belize to visit their old school friend, when things take an unexpected and dark turn. He'll play Lex, "a loose cannon who scraped through college on a music scholarship before devolving into a life of full-time partying," alongside fellow principals Steve Zahn, Romany Malco and Ben Chaplin. Shawn Ryan also serves as an executive producer. (THR.com)

QUEEN OF THE SOUTH, THE (USA, New!) - M.A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller (The Final Girls) have scored a pilot order from the cable channel for a new drama about a woman who, "when her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered in Mexico, is forced to go on the run and seek refuge in America, where she teams with an unlikely figure from her past to bring down the leader of the very drug trafficking ring that has her on the run. In the process, she learns the tools of the trade and strategically positions herself to become the leader of the cartel." Fox Television Studios is behind the hour, which is based on Arturo Perez-Reverte's book-turned-telenovela "La Reina del Sur." David T. Friendly (Little Miss Sunshine) and Pancho Mansfield will also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)

TELENOVELA (NBC, New!) - Chrissy Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein ("Cougar Town") are developing a new single-camera comedy at the Peacock about "an ambitious telenovela star who struggles to stay on top in a world where the drama on-camera is nothing compared to the drama off-camera" with Eva Longoria ("Desperate Housewives") in talks for the lead role. Her involvement will reportedly net a 13-episode order or, if she ultimately passes, a pilot order. Universal Television is behind the project with Longoria and Ben Spector also executive producing via their UnbeliEVAble Entertainment banner. Said effort was originally developed last season as a drama by Robert Harling. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED EMILY HALPERN/SARAH HASKINS PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins ("Trophy Wife") are back in business with the Alphabet for a new single-camera comedy about "a successful home renovator who can't stop problem solving when she leaves the job site - especially when it comes to her boyfriend, her family, a random delivery guy, and basically everyone she comes into contact with." Actress Eva Longoria ("Desperate Housewives") is reportedly in talks for the lead role. Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky are also on board to executive produce for ABC Studios with Longoria and Ben Spector of UnbeliEVAble Entertainment also executive producing if she signs on. (Deadline.com)

WHITE CITY (AMC/AMC Studios; W: John Dempsey & Nick McDonell; D: Stephen Gaghan) - Tim Peper, Mercedes Mason and Josh Pence are the first to be cast in the drama pilot, about a war junkie who has spent the better part of the last decade in Kabul with a front-row seat to the carnage. Peper will play said role, Jon Liston, with Mason as Lizzie Ghaffari, "the new deputy political counselor at the U.S. embassy in Kabul"; and Pence as Tommie Pierson, "a reporter with the New York Times and ex-pat living in Kabul who's involved in a romantic relationship with Heloise." (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Rocsi Diaz is departing "Entertainment Tonight" after a two-year stint as weekend co-host and daily correspondent (Deadline.com); Entertainment One Television is developing a domestic take on the racy Finnish fantasy drama series "Nymphs" (Deadline.com); and Christina Applegate will recur on "Web Therapy" as "a Boston-based fixer named Jenny Bologna, who reaches out to Fiona (Lisa Kudrow) to offer damage-control services after the NSA scandal" (EW.com).
