HGTV AND DIY NETWORK TO PREMIERE EIGHT NEW SHOWS THIS FALL

NEW YORK [For Immediate Release - September 2, 2014] For fans who want a range of home-related television programming that they won't find anywhere else this fall, especially if they like to peek inside the personal spaces of celebrities, HGTV and DIY Network will premiere six new series and two one-hour specials. Taking home improvement where it has never gone before, DIY Network will highlight the unique highs and lows of one celebrity icon's home renovation in The William Shatner Project premiering on Thursday, October 23, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. And, coming in November, talented and charismatic twins Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott will showcase their newly renovated family residence in The Property Brothers at Home.

Other upcoming HGTV series will feature home buyers who want to find their own ideal - and affordable - oasis. Lakefront Bargain Hunt, premiering Sunday, September 14, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, will showcase home seekers as they find the waterfront property of their dreams, while Half-Price Paradise premiering in November, will feature city dwellers looking for a new place that offers quieter living for a fraction of the price. HGTV also will air two extraordinary specials during the season, A Hero's Welcome where one lucky military service man or woman receives a spectacular home transformation; and White House Christmas, which returns in 2015 with host and designer Genevieve Gorder as she gives viewers an exclusive holiday tour of the nation's first home.

Back at DIY Network, Albert, Robert and Leon, fan favorites from Vanilla Ice Goes Amish, get their own show in Amish RENOgades, premiering on Saturday, November 22, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The new series will feature the Amish craftsmen as they travel outside of their community, learn to navigate the modern world and work on home improvement projects.

"We pretty much have a show for you if you love shows about home," said Steven Lerner, senior vice president, programing and production, HGTV and DIY Network. "From celebrity renovations to fantasy real estate to uplifting home transformations for heroes and compelling fish out of water scenarios, we develop and produce programming that puts a new twist on what viewers want - more shows about how people buy, sell, renovate, and transform a house into a home."

Here is a closer look at the additions to the HGTV and DIY Network lineup:
