BELLICHER (FOX, New!) - Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air) has booked a potential drama at the network about "an arrogant and entitled corporate consultant who gets embroiled in a grand conspiracy that forces him to go on the run. As his entire life unravels, he'll come to realize that the only man who can help him is a perpetually paranoid and possibly delusional former NSA agent." Sony Pictures Television is behind the hour, which has a penalty attached and is based on Charles den Tex's book-turned-Dutch mini-series "The Power of Mr. Miller." Turner and Jennifer Klein will executive produce via their studio-based Vendetta Productions alongside Rob Golenberg and Alon Aranya of Scripted World Entertainment. (Deadline.com)

CRUSHED (HBO, New!) - Tina Gordon Chism (Peeples) is developing a new comedy at the pay channel about "an African-American family who stumbles into a successful wine business in Napa." Chism then will executive producing alongside Stephanie Allain Bray with C. Deneen Brown co-producing. (THR.com)

DEAD BOSS (FOX, New!) - Patricia Breen ("Suburgatory") has snagged a put pilot commitment from the Alphabet for a single-camera comedy about "a woman trying to prove her innocence after being falsely accused and convicted of killing her boss." Breen and Horgan then are executive producing alongside Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED KATHERINE HEIGL PROJECT (NBC, New!) - The proposed Katherine Heigl-led drama has found a home at the Peacock, where it was a put pilot commitment. Alexi Hawley ("Body of Proof") is behind the hour, about "a key CIA analyst whose job it is to debrief and strategize with the president on the most pressing global and national matters." Said effort is set up at Universal Television with Robert Simonds, Julia Franz, Henry Crumpton and Rodney Faraon executive producing alongside Hawley, Heigl and her mom Nancy Heigl via the latter duo's Abishag Productions. (Deadline.com)

Sweeney will visit ABC's "Betrayal" as "the ambitious, intense and formidable new director of the criminal division of the state attorney's office" (THR.com); Stephen Rider will recur on ABC's "Lucky 7" as "a charming and handsome Yale-educated attorney who takes on Leanne's (Anastasia Phillips) custody case - and maybe more" (THR.com); and Style Network, not G4, will now be rebranded as Esquire Network when it launches on September 23 (THR.com).
