DOROTHY (CBS, New!) - Emily Fox ("Jane by Design") is developing a new drama at the Eye billed as "a medical soap based in New York City inspired by the characters and themes from The Wizard of Oz." Said effort is set up at the CBS Television Studios-based Timberman-Beverly Productions with the company's Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman executive producing alongside Fox. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED DEBORAH KAPLAN/HARRY ELFONT PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont (Leap Year) have booked a potential multi-camera comedy at the Peacock about "a female sex & relationship therapist who helps patients deal with intimacy, love and unusual fetishes - but that's nothing compared to navigating the relationships with her ex-husband, his new girlfriend and her own mother, all while raising her two young sons." The Universal Television-based project is based on the life of relationship therapist Laura Berman, who will serve as a co-executive producer; with UnbeliEVAble Entertainment's Eva Longoria and Ben Spector and Freestyle Picture Company's Francesca Silvestri and Kevin Chinoy also among the executive producers. WAYWARD PINES (FOX/FX Productions; W: Chad Hodge; D: M. Night Shyamalan) - Greta Lee has scored a role on the limited series, about a Secret Service Agent (Matt Dillon) who finds himself stranded in the seemingly bucolic town of Wayward Pines, Idaho while looking for two missing federal agents. She'll play Ruby, "the barista at the only coffee shop in Wayward Pines, who not only is a daily presence in everybody's morning, but also knows everybody's business." Carla Gugino, Melissa Leo, Shannyn Sossamon, Terrence Howard and Toby Jones also star. (Deadline.com)
