THE RED ROAD (Sundance; W: Aaron Guzikowski; D: TBA) - Martin Henderson ("Off the Map") has snagged the lead role on the drama series, about Harold Jensen, a sheriff struggling to keep his family together while simultaneously policing two clashing communities: the small town where he grew up and the neighboring Ramapo Mountains, home of the Ramapo Mountain Indians. Julianne Nicholson also stars as his wife Jean with Jason Momoa as Indian ex-con Phillip Kopus. (Deadline.com)

SAINT GEORGE (FX/Lionsgate; W: David McFadzean & George Lopez & Matt Williams; D: TBA) - Danny Trejo, Jenn Lyon and Kaden Gibson have all joined the cast of the upcoming George Lopez-led comedy, about the chaotic life of a recently divorced working class Mexican-American turned successful entrepreneur. Trejo is set as George's uncle Tio, "a part-time construction worker who stops by the house to drink George's beer." Lyon then will play George's ex-wife with Gibson as his 11-year-old son. Adriana Barraza also stars as George's overbearing mother. (Deadline.com, THR.com)

Said effort is based on Tony Horwitz's 2011 book "Midnight Rising" with Touchy Feely Films' Paul Giamatti and Daniel Carey and Kippster Entertainment's Perri Kipperman and David Stern executive producing for FX Productions. Horwitz is also expected to serve as a consultant should it move forward with Gabriel Range as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
