LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Syfy will wrap its runs of "Sinbad" and "Primeval: New World" with daylong marathons on Saturday, August 3 and August 10, respectively.
Both series were previously slated to continue on Saturdays at 9:00/8:00c and 10:00/9:00c through the end of August. A rebroadcast of "Sharknado" will instead replace said duo this Saturday, July 27 at 9:00/8:00c.
The following week look for the 12-hour "Sinbad" marathon - including five episodes yet to premiere in the U.S. - on Saturday, August 3 starting at 11:00 AM ET followed by the 13-hour "New World" marathon - with six U.S. premiere episodes - on Saturday, August 10 starting at 10:00 AM ET.
The news follows seven weeks of modest results in the aforementioned time periods: 886,000 viewers (256,000 in adults 18-49) for "Sinbad" and 1.055 million viewers (278,000 in adults 18-49) for "New World" on average to date.
Both series weren't picked up for second seasons by their original broadcasters U.K.'s Sky1 and Canada's Space channel.
