New York, NY (February 15, 2013) - Fuse, the national music television network of The Madison Square Garden Company, will for the second year in a row be the exclusive U.S. home to The BRIT Awards, which the network is set to air on Wednesday, February 20 at 6pm/5c. As part of Fuse's commitment to covering all things music, the network will provide American audiences with this not-to-be-missed show, featuring performances from Taylor Swift, Robbie Williams, Muse, Ben Howard, One Direction, Mumford & Sons, Emeli Sandé and Justin Timberlake. In addition, Fuse's music news show, Fuse News, will deliver profiles of this year's nominees in the days leading up to the ceremony, as well as a comprehensive recap of the event's biggest moments, following the show.
The BRITs will be hosted by actor, writer, producer and 2012 Tony Award winner James Corden and will celebrate the musical achievements of both British and international artists. British bands Mumford & Sons and Alt-J, and singer songwriter Emeli Sandé lead in the way of nominations with three nods each. All three artists were nominated for the prestigious British Album of the Year, a list that also includes Paloma Faith and Plan B.
Fuse's coverage of the event will go beyond the ceremony as Fuse News delivers a more in-depth look at these important artists. On February 19 and 20, Fuse News kicks things off with profiles of some of the most notable BRIT nominees, including The XX and Emeli Sandé. Additionally, Fuse News anchor Alexa Chung will be onsite at London's O2 Arena to bring U.S. audiences a comprehensive recap to air on Thursday, February 21.
