Brit Teen Sensation Cher Lloyd to Perform on an All-New Thanksgiving Night Results Show Thursday, November 22
Tonight, on the LIVE results show, and in a shocking double elimination, Jennel Garcia, one of Demi Lovato's Young Adults and Lyric 145, one of Simon Cowell's Groups, were eliminated from THE X FACTOR. Hosts Khloé Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez announced that Lyric 145 received the fewest votes following last night's performance show, immediately eliminating them from the competition. Then it was revealed that Garcia and Paige Thomas both received the next fewest votes. Judges Simon Cowell, Lovato, L.A. Reid and Britney Spears listened to the two finalists each perform their "song for survival," and after deliberation, Garcia was sent home. Also tonight, this week's individual vote rankings were revealed, from the bottom 10th act to the No. 1 vote-getter.
Earlier in the show, six-time Grammy Award-winning megastar Taylor Swift performed her newest hit song "State of Grace."
Next week, on Wednesday, Nov. 21 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), THE X FACTOR finalists: Teens - Beatrice Miller, Arin Ray, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Diamond White; Young Adults - CeCe Frey and Paige Thomas; Over 25s - Vino Alan and Tate Stevens; and Groups - Emblem3 and Fifth Harmony - perform LIVE for America's votes.
Immediately after the performance show, fans will be able to vote via 1) Verizon Touch Voting on The Xtra Factor App on Verizon Android devices; 2) toll-free calling; 3) text messaging for Verizon Wireless customers; and 4) online at TheXFactorUSA.com. Fans with valid Facebook accounts can also vote at Facebook.com/TheXFactorUSA.
On Thursday, Nov. 22 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), tune in for a special Thanksgiving night episode with a performance by Brit teen sensation Cher Lloyd. Then, Khloé and Mario will announce the acts that made the cut in an all-new "Live Results" episode.
The indomitable Cher Lloyd burst onto the music scene more than a year ago with her unforgettable vocals, rap skills and genre-bending performances on the U.K. version of "The X Factor," all of which garnered more than 400 million YouTube views. On her Top Five U.K. debut album, "Sticks & Stones," released in November 2011, the 19-year-old phenom earned a No. 1 single with "Swagger Jagger."
Lloyd's assault on America began earlier this year with the release of her debut - and Top 10 - single, "Want U Back," which has sold more than 1.6 million copies. The video for the song has logged nearly 38 million views. She's launched a second single, "Oath," featuring Becky G., with a video that already has garnered nearly seven million views. Additionally, Lloyd has nearly three million Twitter followers, plus a loyal and ever-growing fanbase who proudly call themselves "brats."
