INVENTION USA
Experts Scotty Ziegler and Reichart Von Wolfsheild Meet Inventors and Test Their Creations
For a Shot at a Potentially Life-Changing Deal
PREMIERES WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 28, 10PM ET/9C
New York, NY, November 13, 2012 - Scotty Ziegler and Reichart Von Wolfsheild are on a mission to find the next brilliant invention, the next bold innovation, the next million-dollar idea. As the two hosts of INVENTION USA, new season premiere on HISTORY is Wednesday, November 28, 10pm ET/9c, the two successful inventors from two very different worlds will set out to make history.
Scotty Ziegler is a product designer, car fabricator and self-proclaimed human crash test dummy. Reichart Von Wolfshield is a scientist, engineer and resident know-it-all. Between the two of them, Scotty and Reichart have hundreds of inventions and patents to their credit. But now, they're searching America for inventors who might have the next big thing. They'll test each invention, pushing them - and each other - to their limits. For the inventors it's the ultimate shot at landing a lucrative deal with a manufacturer. A "yes" from Scotty or Reichart could transform an inventor's life, and just might change the world.
Among some of the inventions featured in the eight-episode series are:
· A new eating utensil that the inventors believe will revolutionize the way we eat wings, ribs and other messy finger foods;
· A floating survival pod for people caught in rising flood waters;
· A device that physically protects car exteriors from hail damage and also gives early warning of hail storms via a mobile application.
· A First-Down measuring laser system that the inventor promises will change the game of football;
· For hunters... a mechanized tree-stand that climbs the tree with a flip of the switch;
· And a backpack device that makes water out of thin air!
Reichart Von Wolfsheild is a technologist, inventor, artist and futurist. Starting in his teens, he designed and built a computer CPU from scratch. In the early 1980s, while helping pioneer music videos for the then-fledgling network, MTV, he started his first successful technology company developing Artificial Intelligence applications. Blending his talents from several fields he made history conceiving one of the first multi-player modem video games, kicking off a franchise. He has designed everything from toys to weapons and developed more than 120 products for companies such as Boeing, Disney, Dreamworks and Mattel, and is always looking for the next fun challenge.
A master designer, artist and inventor, Scotty Ziegler devotes himself to the building of all things cool. Having created industry-changing products for prestigious international companies such as Hasbro, Fisher Price and Mattel, Scotty forges steel, sculpts clay and manipulates the newest 3D technology to build just about anything his brain imagines. He holds a slew of patents, and his inventions and designs have been featured in numerous newspapers, magazines and national television programs. When it comes to creating, Scotty doesn't know how to think inside the box.
INVENTION USA is produced for HISTORY by T Group Productions. Matthew Ginsburg is Executive Producer for HISTORY. Executive Producers for T Group are Jenny Daly, Mike Duffy and Rob Dorfmann.
