CBS REVEALS NEW "BIG BROTHER" TWIST WITH PAST HOUSEGUESTS RETURNING AS COACHES FOR THE CHANCE TO WIN A SEPARATE $100,000 PRIZE

BIG BROTHER Coaches Include Former Winners Mike "Boogie" Malin and Dan Gheesling, and "America's Favorite Players" Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes

Willie Hantz Selected as First Head of Household of the Summer

Jodi Falls Victim to the First Eviction of the Season

During last night's action-packed premiere of BIG BROTHER, the new Houseguests moved into the house and quickly learned from Julie Chen that they would be joined by four former Houseguests who will serve as their coaches for the summer. The BIG BROTHER coaches are Mike "Boogie" Malin (Season 2, Winner of All-Stars Season 7), Janelle Pierzina ("Americas Favorite Player" from Season 6, All-Stars Season 7), Dan Gheesling (unanimous Winner of Season 10) and Britney Haynes ("America's Favorite Player" from Season 12). Each coach will compete for a $100,000 prize, which they will win if one of their selected Houseguests wins BIG BROTHER.

After being introduced to the 12 new Houseguests, the coaches then drafted their Houseguests, as follows:

Boogie: Jenn, Frank and Ian

Britney: JoJo, Willie and Shane

Dan: Kara, Danielle and Jodi

Janelle: Wil, Ashley and Joe

With their coaches cheering them on, the Houseguests competed as teams in the "Big Brother Slumber Party" Head of Household competition in which they individually raced across moving mattresses to retrieve teddy bears on the opposite side of the course. Britney's team successfully obtained three teddy bears first, winning the game and giving Britney the power to select the first Head of Household from her team. She appointed Willie to that position.

Dan's team came in last place, forcing him to choose one member of his team for immediate eviction. He chose Jodi to move out of the BIG BROTHER house.

Following the premiere on Thursday, July 12 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), BIG BROTHER will be broadcast three nights weekly, beginning Sunday, July 15 (8:00:30 -8:59:30 PM, ET/PT), Wednesday, July 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and the LIVE eviction show, hosted by Julie Chen, beginning Thursday, July 19 (9:00-10:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT).

BIG BROTHER follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with 53 cameras and 98 microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. Each week, the Houseguests will vote someone out of the house. At the end, the last remaining House Guest will receive the grand prize of $500,000.

BIG BROTHER is executive produced by Emmy Award-winning producer Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment, in association with Endemol U.S.A.
