THE CULT OF MAC (ABC, New!) - Australian writer Tony McNamara ("Tangle") has booked a potential single-camera comedy at the Alphabet about Ted Macfadden, "who casts back into his 1987 Chicago childhood with his iconoclastic/crazy dad Mac for inspiration in parenting his progressive, modern San Francisco family." ABC Studios-based Brillstein Entertainment Partners is behind the half-hour, which McNamara will write and executive produce. (Deadline.com)


FOUR PLAY (NBC, New!) - Actress/writer Liz Vassey ("CSI: Crime Scene Investigation") has booked a potential comedy at the Peacock about "four people creating an unlikely family while raising a newly adopted child." Universal Television and the studio-based Dark Toy Entertainment are behind the half-hour, which Flody Suarez, Todd Holland and Karey Burke will executive produce alongside Vassey. (Deadline.com)
