The following is a closer look at AMC's programming slate for Thanksgiving weekend, beginning Wednesday, November 23 through Sunday, November 27:

"AMC CELEBRATES" GONE WITH THE WIND

On Wednesday, November 23, AMC dedicates its air to the celebrated American classic, Gone with the Wind, with airings at 9am, 2pm, 7pm and midnight, marking the 75th anniversary of the celebrated novel. Gone with the Wind stars Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable who carry on a turbulent love affair in the American south during the Civil War and Reconstruction.

"THANKSGIVING WITH YOUR GODFATHER"

The exclusive basic cable home of The Godfather trilogy, AMC airs two award-winning films back-to-back on Thanksgiving Day. "Thanksgiving with Your Godfather" - a tradition for AMC - features The Godfather (1972) airing Thursday, November 24 at 11:30am and 8pm ET/PT and The Godfather: Part II (1974) at 3:30pm and midnight ET/PT. In The Godfather, director Francis Ford Coppola paints a chilling portrait of the Sicilian clan's rise and near fall from power in America. Based on Mario Puzo's best-selling novel, the film garnered three Academy Award(R) wins, including Best Picture of 1972. The Godfather II is a brilliant companion piece to the original that continues the saga of two generations of successive power within the Corleone family. The film received six Academy Awards(R), including Best Picture of 1974.

"MAD MEN" SUNDAYS

Set your DVR and catch up on the Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) Award-winning series "Mad Men" Sunday mornings beginning at 6:00am ET/PT. On November 27, "Mad Men" Sundays starts from the beginning with three episodes from the critically acclaimed first season - "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," "Ladies Room" and "The Marriage of Figaro" - and continues with episodes each Sunday morning leading up to the highly anticipated season five premiere.

"THE WALKING DEAD" SEASON TWO CATCH UP MARATHON

Catch up on season two of the Emmy(R) Award-winning series with a six episode marathon, beginning Sunday, November 27 at 2:30pm ET/PT, featuring every episode to date from the series' critically acclaimed new season.

"THE WALKING DEAD" & "HELL ON WHEELS" NEW EPISODES

Sunday night, November 27, the mid-season finale of "The Walking Dead" - "Pretty Much Dead Already" - airs at 9pm ET/PT followed by the fourth episode of "Hell on Wheels'" premiere season, "Jamais Je Ne T'oublierai," at 10pm ET/PT.
