New York, NY - August 12, 2011 - Home Box Office has officially launched its mobile MAX GO app, making it available for immediate download on Apple's iPad(R), iPhone(R) and iPod touch(R). Additionally, the mobile app is available on numerous smartphones using Google's Android(TM) operating system. Similar to the HBO GO(R) app which launched in May, the new MAX GO app is free of charge to Cinemax subscribers through a participating television provider and offers unlimited access to over 700 hours of programming.

Available on MAX GO as it premieres tonight, FRIDAY, AUGUST 12 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST) will be Cinemax's first original primetime series STRIKE BACK. Along with the debut episode, MAX GO users will have access to the second episode of STRIKE BACK a week prior to its airing on the linear network.

MAX GO offers consumers instant access to hundreds of Hollywood hit movies, indies, cult favorites, the MAX After Dark series as well as new and exclusive, primetime high-impact drama series like STRIKE BACK specifically created for the channel - any time and from any U.S. location with a high speed broadband connection.

With MAX GO, new titles are added every week so there's always something new and exciting to watch. Customers also have the ability to create a "Watchlist" that keeps track of bookmarked content for later viewing and allows users to resume viewing at any time; bonus content including behind-the-scenes extras with "MAX Uncut," interviews and recaps; customizable views showing titles in slideshow, grid or list format; and the ability to pause, rewind and view at their convenience.

The launch of the MAX GO mobile app coincides with the debut of the newly redesigned Cinemax.com, featuring in-depth information on the wide variety of original programming, blockbuster theatricals and independents available on the network. Cinemax.com also provides behind the scenes info, exclusive videos, schedules, community boards and online Cinemax sign-up.

MAX GO is currently available to Charter, Cox Advanced TV, Verizon FiOS, AT&T U-Verse, Suddenlink, DIRECTV and DISH Network customers who subscribe to the service.

The latest addition to Cinemax's digital offerings of eight multiplex channels, high definition feeds and Cinemax On Demand(R), MAX GO gives customers another way to watch and enjoy Cinemax programming whenever they want - even from outside their home.
