ACE OF CAKES (Food Network) - The cable channel will reportedly pull the plug on the series after its upcoming 10th season, due in January. Season nine of the Duff Goldman-led series wraps on Thursday, December 9 at 10:00/9:00c. Goldman nevertheless is developing new series concepts for the network.


DR. HENRY (NBC, New!) - Feature writer George Gallo ("Bad Boys") has booked a potential new drama at the Peacock about "an eccentric psychiatrist who, with the help of his team at his prestigious institute, digs into his patients' psyches to help cure them of the most bizarre psychological afflictions." Universal Media Studios is behind the hour which Gallo will executive produce alongside Russ Krasnoff ("Community").


UNNATURAL HISTORY (Cartoon Network) - The cable channel has reportedly axed the freshman drama, the first of its type at the network. A modest 979,000 viewers tuned into the show's de facto swan song on September 21, making the decision not much of a surprise. Cartoon Network's second live-action effort, "Tower Prep" drew 1.065 million viewers in its most recent airing (November 16).


UNTITLED CARLTON CUSE/RANDALL WALLACE PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Carlton Cuse ("Lost") and Randall Wallace ("Secretariat") are developing a new "event" series at the Alphabet set during the Civil War in Virginia. Said hour, set up at ABC Studios, will be co-written by the duo with Wallace attached to direct should it move forward. No other specifics were given.


UNTITLED SHADOWMACHINE PROJECT (Comedy Central, New!) - Production house ShadowMachine ("Robot Chicken") has landed a pilot order for a potential anthology series showcasing various animated comedy shorts, each coming from a different creator. Tom Gianas ("Human Giant") and ShadowMachine's Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico are executive producing the half-hour, which will double as an incubator for additional series projects.
