ARMY WIVES (Lifetime) - The cable channel is looking at spinning off its flagship drama. Said hour, which is in the early stages of development, will reportedly center on Pamela Moran, played Brigid Brannagh in the parent series. The untitled project will then track the newly divorced Pamela as she moves back to Charleston, South Carolina and returns to the police force. Bruce Zimmerman and T.D. Mitchell are co-writing the script with Mark Gordon and Deb Spera executive producing via their ABC Studios-based The Mark Gordon Co.
SKINS (MTV) - The U.S. incarnation of the cult U.K. soap has received a series commitment of 10 episodes from the cable channel. E1 Entertainment, Company Pictures and Stormdog are co-producing the project, which is spearheaded by Bryan Elsley, Charlie Pattinson and George Faber. No production start date was given for the series, which follows a group of teenagers who are trying to grow up and find love and happiness in Baltimore. Additional details were not released.
