EMMY AWARD-WINNING WANDA SYKES RETURNS TO FOX ...AND WEEKENDS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME

Actress, Comedian and Author to Host Saturday Late-Night Series on FOX

Emmy Award-winning actress, comedian and author Wanda Sykes returns to FOX to host an innovative and irreverent new Saturday late-night series scheduled to premiere in fall 2009. The high-energy one-hour show will feature biting commentary on topical issues and heated panel discussions with recurring personalities. The series' unique format will highlight Sykes' outspoken comedic perspective on current events and will also allow her to leave the studio to shoot segments in the field.

"Wanda is a great alternative voice to the current late-night landscape," said Kevin Reilly, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. "She has the perfect personality for FOX, and we look forward to reinvigorating Saturday night TV with her."

"I'm married, so this was a great excuse to get out of the house on a Saturday night," said Sykes. When asked about returning to FOX, she added, "Yes, my relationship with FOX hasn't been the best, but if Rihanna can go back to Chris Brown, I can go back to FOX. Oprah tried to talk me out of it, but I think FOX has changed."

Ranked as one of Entertainment Weekly's "25 Funniest People in America" and recently chosen to host the 2009 White House Correspondents' Association dinner in May, Sykes currently co-stars in the comedy series "The New Adventures of Old Christine."

Sykes earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special for her cable special "Wanda Sykes: Sick & Tired." She is familiar to FOX audiences for her starring role in the comedy series "Wanda At Large," on which she also served as writer and producer. Sykes' additional television credits include "Wanda Sykes: Tongue Untied," "Wanda Does It," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," as well as Emmy Award-winning turns on "The Chris Rock Show" and "Inside The NFL."

Her feature film credits include "Evan Almighty," "Monster-In-Law," "Over The Hedge," "The Barnyard" and "My Super Ex-Girlfriend." Sykes also wrote the book "Yeah, I Said It," a hilarious collection of essays touching on life, family and current events.
