Oxygen Picks Up Third Season of Hit Series "The Bad Girls Club" and Expands Show to One-Hour Format

Los Angeles - July 20, 2008 - Oxygen has ordered a third season of "The Bad Girls Club," the network's highest-rated original series ever to date. For the first time, the show's format has been expanded from half-hour to one-hour, giving new episodes even more drama, more conflict and more outrageous laughs. From Bunim-Murray Productions, the groundbreaking producers of "The Real World," "The Bad Girls Club" is currently casting and scheduled to begin production in August, with season three scheduled to premiere this winter.

Season three of "The Bad Girls Club" will bring seven new 'bad girls' together in a beautiful Los Angeles mansion. These women recognize that their outrageous behavior has hindered their relationships, careers and lives. They have issues with anger, trust and control, and claim they want to change. Will living together help them move forward and turn their lives around - or will chaos rule?

"This show is truly a hit - and we can't wait to deliver another season of all the conflict, laughs and drama that 'The Bad Girls Club' is known for," said Amy Introcaso-Davis, Senior Vice President of Development and Programming, Oxygen. "These women are complicated - they are emotional and extreme, but underneath it all they have heart."

From Kathy Griffin talking about the show during her stand-up act to a Star Jones-hosted reunion special, "The Bad Girls Club" has gained a loyal following among celebrities and pop culture media. Last season's breakout cast member Tanisha, known for her signature phrase "pop off," has gone on to appear multiple times on "The Tyra Banks Show," "The Soup" and "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List."

Season two of "The Bad Girls Club" was the most-watched Oxygen original series ever, averaging 595,000 P18-49, a +31% increase over season one. The show averaged 439,000 among W18-49; 321,000 among W18-34 and 791,000 total viewers P2+. "The Bad Girls Club" also achieved a network milestone, becoming the first Oxygen original series episode to break the one million-viewer mark (2/19/08).
