This Not-To-Be-Missed Fifth Season Is A Heartfelt Goodbye To Unibrows, Nose Hairs, Pleather, And The Fab Five

NEW YORK - September 13, 2007 - Beginning this October, Bravo puts the spotlight on one of TV's most groundbreaking reality series, the Emmy Award-winning "Queer Eye," which concludes its four-year run with 10 all-new episodes. "Queer Eye" is all heart as the Fab Five�s Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez continue their mission to "make-better" their subjects - beginning with a special premiere episode featuring a "Straight Guy Pageant" hosted by the legendary Susan Lucci on Tuesday, October 2 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

The pageant will reunite the Fab Five with former cast members of "Queer Eye" to see who has kept up, slacked off and who has gone beyond the "Fabbers" wildest expectations. Tune-in to find out who will win for Presence and Poise, Lifestyle and Fitness, Artistic Expression and who will win the "Ultimate Straight Guy" crown.

The premiere will be followed by an all new episode featuring Eric, a small town boy from Denver, who met Tracie, a city girl from New York on Match.com. After six months of emails and phone calls, Eric is finally going to meet Tracie in person with the help of the Fab Five. Tune in following the premiere episode at 10:00 PM ET/PT to find out if sparks fly or if the date will be a dud.

Since the Fab Five first "came out" to the world for the series premiere on July 15, 2003, straight guys everywhere knew they had finally found their "Queer Eye." This fall grooming guru Douglas continues to advocate "manscaping," an effort to tame or remove unruly body hair; fashion maven Kressley "tzuj�s" his way to perfection; food and wine expert Allen advises on appropriate food and wine pairings; and culture vulture Rodriguez infuses self-confidence in those who need it most, while interior designer Filicia magically turns a drab room fab.

"Queer Eye" is produced by Scout Productions. The executive producers are David Collins, David Metzler and Michael Williams for Scout, and the co-executive producer is Linda Lea. The series was created by Collins, a gay man, and developed by Metzler, a straight man - a union of sensibilities that gives the show its depth, humor and edge.
