Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution Has Renewed The Tyra Banks Show for Two Years on the Fox Television Stations

December 18, 2006

Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution (WBDTD) has renewed Telepictures Productions' The Tyra Banks Show for two additional seasons in national syndication on the Fox Television Stations, it was announced today by Ken Werner, President, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, and Jack Abernethy, Chief Executive Officer, Fox Television Stations.

Currently in its second season, The Tyra Banks Show has been renewed for its third and fourth seasons, through the end of the 2008-2009 broadcast year, on the Fox-owned stations in 22 markets, including WNYW in New York City, KTTV in Los Angeles and WPWR in Chicago, among others.

"Tyra has shown steady growth over its first 18 months on the air and has broadened its demographic appeal, especially in the 18-49 and 25-54 demos," said Werner. "Fox, Sinclair and other Tyra stations have remarked on how this series has truly blossomed on the air."

"We are obviously thrilled with Tyra which is quite evident by our giving the series a two season vote of confidence," said Abernethy. "We believe this show has quickly become a franchise and will continue to grow into a true powerhouse for years to come."

"We got into business with Tyra because we felt she had something compelling and powerful to say to women," said Hilary Estey McLoughlin, President, Telepictures Productions. "She has done an outstanding job, on a daily basis, of not only entertaining but also empowering her audience, and the ratings reflect that."

The Tyra Banks Show gives today's young women the "girlfriend" they want to hang out with, and the role model they need. With hot celebrity guests, topical issues, beauty and fashion advice along with field-based social experiments, the show speaks to a new generation of women in a relevant voice.

Originating from Los Angeles, The Tyra Banks Show is produced by Bankable Productions and Handprint Entertainment, in association with Telepictures Productions, an industry-leading and Emmy Award-winning producer of reality and reality-based programming. The series is executive produced by Alex Duda, John Redmann, Tyra Banks and Benny Medina.
