THE MARTHA STEWART SHOW NAMES BERNIE YOUNG TO THE POST OF CO-EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Former Rosie O'Donnell Executive Producer To Lead Team Of Nationally Syndicated How-To Series

New York, November 15, 2006 Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. announced today that Bernie Young, Emmy-winning executive producer of The Rosie O'Donnell Show, has been named co-executive producer of the nationally syndicated how-to series, The Martha Stewart Show. Young will take the helm of the daytime program effective immediately. Last week, NBC Universal Domestic Television, the shows distributor, announced that the daytime program was renewed for a third season by the NBC Owned-and-Operated stations and many other stations affiliated with major broadcast groups.

In making the announcement, MSLO President of Broadcasting Sheraton Kalouria said: We feel very fortunate to have found someone with Bernies years of experience to fill this very important leadership position. His passion for getting the job done, his eye for talent and his unique ability to motivate a team make him the ideal person for this role.

Martha Stewart, host and executive producer added: "Bernie is a seasoned professional who has enthusiasm for and a keen understanding of the kind of program we do here everyday. I am delighted to be working with him and look forward to productive and inspiring seasons of The Martha Stewart Show under his guidance."

Bernies credentials speak for themselves, noted Mark Burnett, also executive producer of The Martha Stewart Show. Hes a terrific addition to an amazing team of talented producers and I look forward to collaborating with him. I first got to know Bernie in 2002 when I convinced Rosie ODonnell to host the finale of the 4th season of Survivor. I knew then that Bernie was someone I'd eventually work with. I'm glad that's come true."

Young said: "I'm thrilled and honored to have been chosen to join such a successful team."

A former NYPD detective turned talent manager, Young got his start in entertainment as a result of what he describes as a leap of faith. With no prior experience, he jumped onto the entrepreneurial bandwagon in the mid-70s and began building a successful management business. In 1996, his client Rosie ODonnell signed on with Warner Bros. to do a nationally syndicated talk show, and Young agreed to join her as coordinating producer. In season four, Young was named executive producer of The Rosie ODonnell Show. When the shows six- season run came to an end, Young headed up ODonnells production company, developing programming for television and live theatre events.

The Martha Stewart Show is a nationally syndicated, daily how-to series anchored by segments that entertain, inform and inspire. Shot in front of a studio audience, the hour-long programs format allows audience members, home viewers and special guests to participate and interact with host Martha Stewart. Featuring headline makers, A-list celebrities and everyday people whove accomplished extraordinary things, The Martha Stewart Show sheds new light on such subjects as cooking and entertaining, decorating, and home renovation and provides a forum for Martha Stewarts sense of humor, love of fun and desire to teach. Martha Stewart and Mark Burnett are executive producers. The Emmy-winning series is produced by Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and is distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution to more than 95% of the country.
