TBS Brings "Very Funny" to Broadband with Two New Digital Destinations: veryfunnyads.com and Laugh Lab

Massive Online Collection of Worlds Funniest Commercials at veryfunnyads.com To Launch Wednesday, Aug. 23, in Conjunction with New One-Hour Special on TBS

Laugh Lab at TBS.com to Feature Countless Hours of Stand-Up from More than 80 Comedians, Including Jeff Garlin, Aisha Tyler, George Wallace, Sebastian and More, Plus Broadband Encore Presentations of TBSs Upcoming Original Series My Boys and 10 Items or Less

TBS is taking its "very funny" programming into the digital world through two new broadband destinations: veryfunnyads.com, slated to become one of the largest online collections of funny commercials from around the world, and Laugh Lab, a treasure trove of original comic material available through tbs.com and featuring stand-up from top-name comedians and broadband encore presentations of TBSs much-anticipated original series My Boys and 10 Items or Less, announced Steve Koonin, executive vice president and chief operating officer for TBS and TNT. TBSs veryfunnyads.com will launch in conjunction with a new one-hour Worlds Funniest Commercials special premiering Wednesday, August 23, while Laugh Lab is slated to launch this fall.

"While TBSs network strategy is to focus on smart, relatable storytelling as expressed through high-quality scripted comedy series, our broadband strategy is to provide viewers with access to comedy in its many forms, from stand-up comedy to the worlds funniest commercials to broadband presentations of our original series," said Koonin. "Through veryfunnyads.com and Laugh Lab, well be able to provide broadband users with a dynamic assortment of comic material guaranteed to keep them laughing non-stop."

In addition to stand-up comedy and broadband presentations of its original series, TBSs Laugh Lab will also feature personalized customization for viewers; a video blog that features viral videos and commentary; a showplace for user-generated content; and a collection of TBSs memorable Department of Humor Analysis shorts, featuring John Cleese.

The following is a rundown of the broadband content TBS is planning to offer:

Very Funny Ads: Through veryfunnyads.com, comedy fans can view some of the cleverest and most humorous television commercials ever to tickle a funny bone, many available for the first time ever to U.S. viewers. Visitors can email their friends links to their favorite commercials, offer feedback and even suggest additional ads for inclusion. In the future, veryfunnyads.com will continue to collect and make available new ads, inviting fans to come back frequently to see whats new. Veryfunnyads.com launches in conjunction with Worlds Funniest Commercials, a one-hour TBS special hosted by Kevin Nealon and his wife, actress-comedian Susan Yeagley. The show is set to premiere on TBS Wednesday, August 23, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) and will feature ads from such countries as Sweden, Australia, Japan, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, The Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom, to name a few.

The Best of Stand-Up Comedy: Through the Laugh Lab, TBS will offer viewers stand-up from more than 80 top comedians, including such notables as Jeff Garlin, Aisha Tyler, George Wallace, Sebastian, Tammy Pescatelli and TBSs own Paul Gilmartin. The comedy sets are being taped at major clubs and events around the country and will presented in a variety of formats, from 60-second clips to full-length specials.

My Boys and 10 Items or Less On Broadband: Following the premiere of each episode of TBSs eagerly anticipated scripted original series My Boys and 10 Items or Less, broadband users can go to Laugh Lab to watch them in their entirety, as well as catch exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes clips.

MyTBS: This customization tool allows the Laugh Lab to serve up video clips that are tailored to each viewers tastes, as well as recommend other funny stuff the viewer might like.

Funny or Not? This showplace for user-generated content invites comedy fans to upload their own comic video projects for all to see, enjoy and rate.

Very Funny VLOG: This video blog features the best of funny viral videos from the Web, along with comic commentary from TBSs bloggers.

Daily Laugh Break: Comedy lovers can get their daily laugh fix by having a funny clip of the day sent directly to their computer, cell phone or other receiving device.

Department of Humor Analysis: TBSs Department of Humor Analysis shorts, starring John Cleese, will be available for viewing through Laugh Lab.

TBS, a division of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., is televisions "very funny" network. It serves as home to such hot contemporary comedies as Sex and the City, Everybody Loves Raymond, Family Guy, Seinfeld and Friends; original comedy series, like the upcoming scripted comedies My Boys and 10 Items or Less; specials and special events, like The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas, for which TBS serves as title sponsor; blockbuster movies; and hosted movie showcases.
